wanted: xp +sp2 disc

does anyone know where i can get one which is safe (ie no virus' etc)

 

got xp original and have a new hdd which is 250gb...which xp doesnt recognise until sp1. tried to integrate xp with sp2 but once burned i cannot get it work (sees it as a 1.44"???!?)

 

any help??

actually thinking about it...now that i have sp2 on my hhd...is ther anyway to make a partition with the unformatted space whats left??

to attempt to answer both your questions, try torrentspy.com, there's definitely a xp+sp2+roll up updates on there which is high seeded... you could also look at partition magic, i'm not entirely sure i'm answering this one properly but it sounds like you've sent over the contents of your old hdd to the larger one and have a bunch of unpartioned space? partition magic can unlock the free stuff without having to piss about with windows' method of having to start again (although it doesn't make any guarantees as to data integrity).

i have XP with no service packs...ive just bought a 250gb hard drive but xp only sees it as 127gb because thats as high as it goes without any srvice packs...so i need a xp disc making with the service packs installed...cheers for the eply i'll have a go with both

PM me your address man. I'll send you one out tomorrow. It's a clean version of XP Pro with SP2 integrated. The only thing that's been modified is the uxtheme.dll file, so you can use your own themes. Other than that, it's the same as the retail version.
