Steve
Check this out. This is ARD cutting using his PC and a mouse - no tables or mixer! I have to say I expected this to be complete bollocks but it's not at all. Unbelievable shit really. Some damn nice cuts in here............. http://digitalvertigo.co.uk/dv/audio/ARDMOUSE.mp3

Sideshow
they're excellent considering how it's donewhat is used as a crossfader? is it a key on the keyboard or does that out go to a normal mixer?
Chee
Damn, that's amazing! No turntable or mixer... I've heard people who can't even do that WITH turntables and a mixer. Dope. *EDIT* ARD, how the hell did you do that? Don't tell me you did the 'clicks' by manually adjusting the volume envelope of the 'Ahhh'... that would have been insanely tedious to do it like that! Excellent mouse 'record' control too - I can't even draw a straight line with my mouse.

ARD
the programme i use is FRUITYLOOPS i scratch with my mouse using the fruity scratcher plug in that comes with fruityloops.. there is no cross fader the only thing i use is my mouse and the M button on my keyboard. it kinda acts like a switch on a real mixer..the M button when pressed in mutes the sound..and with more or less moving my mouse like you would a real record..whilst pressing the M button in time you can almost produce life like patterns lol...almost. the plug in is like a turntable thingyou load a sample such as ahhhhhhh.. and then by placing the cursor of the mouse on the sample you can move it back and forth..like a record..only i got left to right <------ -------> if u see what i mean...and then while pressing the M button i can do transforms n all that..hope this enlightens you a bit more lol..thnx for the props btw ....pz out...its all done live by the way..if you need more explanationlet me know... *if it moves............funk it*

Sideshow
fruity loops, damn, i knew it was one of the ones i usedamn impressive thougheven more so using a keypress for a crossfader!
Steve
I'd actually find that fairly easy if when you pressed the M button the sound came on instead of going off. Me and 2ndHand used to cut with buttons years ago.
Sideshow
i'd have thought there would be a bit of a delay on a pc keyboard keypress, suppose you compensate for it without thinking
Steve
I downloaded some "virtual decks" but they were absolute wank. You had to move the mouse about 2 feet left then the same right just to do a baby scratch.
Sideshow
i tried a few but none really came close to the real soundthat fruity thing actually sounds like you're moving the record, that in itself is impressive

FlipFlop
id have to say imma little sceptical about this....as much as ive tried the FL scratch pluggin...never in this whole world do i think you could do that.....only thing that sounds remotling anything like the FL scratch pluggin is the very very beggingin when you scratch in the beat. the Ahhhh cuts are deffinitly NEVER gonna come outta a program. theres no fader in the FL pluggin, thus,no way to do crabs or chirps or pretty much 90% of those cuts on there lol.
