Jon
Hey guysjust been having a scratch ( in which i did a few fast spin backs) and my turntable's speed went weird it was going faster then usual with pitch at 0 and set on 33rpm i then moved the pitch about and returned it to 33rpm and 0 pitch and now its fine. Should i be worried about it? do u think it was just a lil glitch. its never happened before

Steve
Perhaps the pitch slider is on the way out.

Liam
Perhaps the pitch slider is on the way out.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most likely imo Post up again in more detail if it happens again
Jon
it would be weird if that was the case. cos i really don't use the pitch control at all. Its the only time that it has happened, my suspicion is that a piece of paper got caught in between one side of the platter and the unit and was slowing the table down on one corner. But then again i do recount the platter moving faster than usual It is the only time that it has happened. I'll let u know if anything happens again. Liam
There's also a good chance that you leant on the 33/45. How much did it speed up by? Can you percieve it being more that an 8% increase? I'm sure you know this, but try holding 33 and hitting
