Will you be purchasing a...

Recommended Posts

When Rane/ Serato first released this mixer, I wanted to purchase it.

After much deliberation, the 57SL is impractical to have.

Though the 57SL uses less cables than a mixer + the SL box - its only good for personal use anyhow.

Really, how many people do you think will own a 57SL? The SL box isn't that large anyhow.

Besides, owning expensive gear won't make you a better DJ - it's the person behind the decks that count. ;)

Thoughts?

it would def be useful for wedding dj's and some club or traveling DJ's. It doesnt seem very impractical since its also adding effects and a whole bunch of other features not just the ssl box inside the mixer.

Well, initially I thought that it would be a massive hassle trying to hook up a mixer to an existing sound system, like in a club for example. But actually it would be as simple as connecting the master out from the 57 to a line input of the club's mixer, and you're good to go.

Oh. :d

You could just place it on top of the existing mixer! ;)
