  1. ^^^ Thanks mang thats what i dunn figured.... i was jus hunting for a little reassurance b4 i dropped the loot on this sucka. I totally could have pictured myself clickin off that "upgrade processor" checkbox last minute, and being out 300 buckarooz. 300 beans can get me svm serial gimmicktry scfratch dj gearrah. and i'd feel better it i kept the whole package under 2 'G'eez for the numerological purposes of sacred geometry.
  2. picking up a new lappy but am not sure if upgrading the processor is worth the loot. http://www.shop-sonica.com/d2500.cfm it comes with this standard Intel Core 2 Duo Peryn 2.53 Ghz T9400 these are my options would i even be able to tell the difference between a 2.53 GHZ and a 2.93 GHZ processor performance wise? seems like alotta moneys to spend on sum extra gigahertage when i know not what it does, especially since i'm shelling out a hundred bucks for thee red trim. would yall upgrade?
  3. yeah i figured that with thee adams....thurr really a production only style monitor. i guess ive jus been trying to get a PA and Studio monitors in one package...cheap foo be me. when i jam with other cats, they always seem to be rocking monitors which do a good job of filling the room. cheap ass alesis and m audio monitors and shit. but those definetly alter the sound. as fr thee who told moi not to mix wit thru a sub.....it was me who told me. i always figured subs to be an extra when it comes to audio listening. i don't mix for subs. seems to me when ppl buy some form of a subwoofer box fr home theater or yr ride...they want more bass than what was intended. so i mix it down on a pair of....say...10 inch woofer monitors. seems more standard. i can reach more ppl wit thee shitty modern day aero dynamic looking boom boxes.
  4. i jus tested these out at the guitar center last month. used mix master mikes bangzilla cd....[lotta 808 on thurr] they had that mini little subwoofer hooked up to... shit was crisp as fvck....[btw i know one shouldn't mix thru a sub] adam has alot of sexy looking monitors and even home stereo systems that look like they would be an honest representation of the audio. 2tall...can they fill up a room volume wise, for when the rest of the deets come over to sesh? or are they more near field monitors ya jus keep in front of yr face solely for production. looking for monitors that can really do both low level mixing and be loud enough to pump some bass for the basement apartment scratch jams.
  5. thats not a bad idea at all w/the midi controller i actually bought all the parts to make some simple on/off ctrl/exp pedals, like i did for my jamman looper pedal so i could scroll thru my loopies. have been putting off building em for months. super simple project tho. a project box, a couple of phatty push buttons, and a 1/4 inch TRS cable ripped off some old headphones and voila... controller/expression pedal
  6. fookin sicc ass machine mang id be completely in tha weedz if i lost mine been rockin it jus for under a year now a couple tips and tricks for ya: the tempo and undo pedals, can be reassigned to any function that an external on/off footpedal can achieve. i.e. reverse current phrase [this ones fun] or all start/stop [i use the tempo pedal set to this on all my patches for thee quick mutes] write and many more could save ya some time from bending down and adjusting knobs and sheet. all tho.. i can hit all those "parameter" and "write" buttons w/my big toe no problem :$ as for the metronome... it is possible to reroute the metronome out the sub-out of thee rc-fity. which i then run into the line input of my mixer, queing up the metronome in my headphones. this shits coo cause you can start out w/some ambient bits or random hits in which case, overdubbing some scratchy drums could be tricky without some sort of a guide. also says a big fook you to all the loop pedal operators out thurr who predictably start out w/a cymbal track or those who always lay down thurr drum tracks first. shits herra powerful composition-wise when the drums come in second. 3rd...there is an OS update for that thing i'd recommend. solves the problem of that missing first second of audio after you press the rec pedal a second time on that first pass of the loop. now ima workin my way backwards from you. i got tha 50, but am planning on picking up an mpc soon. slave that akais tempo to the rc 50 w/midi-clock and lay down some quantized drum trackies. sheets already what im doing w/ableton. i go mixer fx send > lappy w/ableton for fx > rc 50 > mixer fx return. now all my tempo based vsts like delays and glitchy rearranging fx are always in sync. if you got an mpc and the 50...i'd sync those two up in a heart beat. look into that midi shiete mang
  7. heez using pre pressed custom records
  8. ^^what company...sum cheap hosa shit... or some overly priced non oxidizing gimmicky gold monstercables. when i got my pedals setup i use... 1/4 inch to rca adapters in the 56 to a rca cable to a rca to 1/4 inch y splice adapter. and then reversed that on the return. id really like to get rid of all these adapters. wats you rockin? btw i actually have a stereo fx setup right now. kaos pad to lappy (ableton for efx) to an rc 50. so i got the right stereo cables to use for that setup. but when i wanna mess with my mono guitar pedals... its adapter city, and all that shit affects the tone and levels. all those adapters really should be avoided. so what straight stereo to mono Y 1/4" cable you sportin?
  9. the tip-ring-sleeve cables will do that with mono effects because they preserve the stereo signal. the pedals are only setup for picking up one of the channels. the signal has to be made mono before it reaches the pedal. jus go for a double 1/4 inch to single 1/4 inch tip-sleeve. with that the stereo signal will be merged down to a mono signal in the cable b4 it reaches the efx. do the same for the return signal/effects output. btw..shits arent easy to find. i myself use a shitload of unnecessary splitter and splicing adapters to get that mono signal.
  10. dayum...thanks dood! thats a shitload of great loops. respects
