    diplo?

His BBC Six Mix and Fabric mix are siick
  2. How often are they used? Not that often really, but that doesn't mean there's no reason not to use them Since the release of the Pioneer909 effects have become openly available to dj's who may have never have used them before. I've seen Jazzy Jeff and Shortkut use the effects with this mixer and you can do some really neat tricks with it But like MrDee says don't go overboard on them, it can get tiresome and gimmicky really quickly
  3. I listened to it yesterday on the stream once i got in Twas good stuff!!!!!
  4. Not really feeling them tbh But then i feel underground rap in general nowadays is pretty weak. Def Jux have some decent artists (Aesop, RJD2, Murs), but for the most part they just don't have that head-nod factor for me, which is just what i want in my UG rap music
  5. Nice remix 2tall!!!!! Totally different to the original, good stuff
  6. LOL!!! The geeks who analyse every single nuance and move of the x-fader, i've seen these too many times But they seem to very prevailent at hiphop nights though, when i saw Peanut Butter Wolf in Leeds, there was seriously a queue of dudes just leaning over the decks lol
  7. My vinyl collection is mostly hiphop, but i'm not really a massive record collector I got loads of cd's, records and mp3's of dnb, breakbeat, breaks, soul, funk, dubstep and a whole load of DJ mixes too
  8. Hi Ripple, i checked the 1st beat levels. My input - The piano sample you've got going through out the track is nice, but the whole track itself just seems to empty. It feels like you've got this heavy drum break and piano and that's it. It feels like the beat's got potential to be something big but you need to add something extra to it, get more layers of sound in there and make into a really large landscape (hope i didn't sound to wacko then) pz
  9. 50 Cent + Mobb Deep - Outta Control rmx
  10. I tried to catalogue the BPM of all my tunes when i first started out, but then quickly realised there really is no point It's alot more productive spending time mixing tunes you think will go together rather than looking at their tempo's
  11. I'm pretty sure there is going to be a heat in Leeds @ The Fav, I'm not sure of the date though
  12. Sounds intresting.............anyway big up Muzzel!!!!!!
  13. Was just wondering what was the point in making this part of the forum? I think it may have been better to do a section for practice files and one for full audio(mixes, tracks etc..), but I was just wondering if Dee or Steve could fill me in pz
  14. Yo all feedback is appreciated @DJxander, yes i was definitely going for that Diplomats/Just Blaze type of feel on the track. Glad you like it @Broma, i know what you mean about the chops (at the beggining right?), but i don't think they came off as cheesy. Anyway glad you liked my mix, check this thread for a full T/L and cover http://www.digitalvertigo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6342 pz
  15. Ten views and no opinions???????
  16. Check it, first beat i've made in a bit of time http://www.demostreams.com/?ID=djdelay (click on finalbeatMP3) or http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...Q93JZZ66GCSL3BR I jacked the loop off a tutorial on the MPCforums ages ago and have just had it lying on my PC, so i finally decided to do something with it Feedback appreciated
  17. If your putting out live mixes ALWAYS expect for there to be mess-ups on them If your multi-tracking your mixes and still feel they're not up to standard then i'd keep practicing until they are. It's true that you will always be your own worst critic but don't settle for second best IMO Just keep pushing and striving until your happy with it
  18. There are loads of accapella sites out on the net Also keep a look out for those bootleg records on Juno etc..They usually have a nice amount of accapellas on them
