i have a 100w denon amp (£100) and some 80w eltax speakers (£40) which i find great. got those from dixons i think

ive got an atx 2.0 psu already (just bought it). but yeh i cant see the point of spending too much for top stuff when in a yrs time its old stuff. i'll have a look at the 3500 939 and am2..see what type of price difference there are then most probably choose the cheapest lol. any good places to buy them from in the uk???

Right after removing everything from my pc and having a go (using 2 different graphic cards) i still get no input to the monitor...so i reckon it motherboard of processor has broken. As its a 3000+ 745 pin theres no real point of getting a new motherboard or processor to check see if i can salvage the other part. I still want to get a amd 64 but have no clue in which to get. guessing 939 pin is the way to go still but no idea if its worth getting anything above a 3800+. Im not a big games freak but do like playing COD2 HL2 shoot em ups etc and will still like to play these type of games (have a ati 9800 128mb graphics card at the mo which does me fine, but is a AGP socket) Now i want something that will last for 5 or so yrs without becoming obolete but i dont really want to pay top money for something i wont gain much from. Any one have any recommendations of motherboards and processor???

RIIIIGHT just got a new PSU and now all the fans turn on, hard drive spins and the floppy drive makes a little bit of noise...but nothing else happens. NO beeps but no picture on the screen. I will try clearing the cmos again and have a go and most probably try a different graphics card...but if that doesnt work is there anything else i can try (will the pc boot up and allow me to see stuff on the screen without a harddrive just make sure that isnt the fault)

cheers liam. Ive taken everything out..cleared the cmos and have come to the conclusion it is the power supply. (the switch at front is actually 2 switches with either one needing to be pressed to work...very much doubt both have gone) Took the psu out and removed it from its case..doesnt seem to be anything wrong but can smell that burny smell you get when things go wrong. Im going to get a psu from maplins most probably in the next couple of days ..was looking at this 400w one http://www.compucase-hec.co.uk/mainpages/p...tail.asp?pid=63 for £23. dont know how good it is or whether i should be looking at others.

Had this problem a few days. Went to turn the pc on and nothing happened..had a few attempt and still nothing, by the time i got some food and went back up it was on. Now i come to turn it on again and nothing happens. Had a look inside the pc (very dusty) and the green motherboard light is on. pressing the power button doesnt do anything except occasionally all te fans will turn a revolution or 2. Any ideas what could be wrong??? thinking its either the psu or a faulty switch but wondering if anyone had an idea (heard clearing CMOS may help???)

ive only had an atari 2600 and a ps1 throughout my life (both shared with my bro) i was given a ps2 a while back but thats still in its box. I just dont enjoy looking at a screen for hrs. although i like playing COD2 on the pc

that sim card not inserted error..i used to get that because my sim card was so old (used the same one since i 1st got a phone) ive got the k800i on 02 and havent had any problems with it so far. the screen gets scratched if you leave it in the same pocket as your keys ive found (although suprisingly not as much as i thought it would) its also been in between my car and car door when i slammed the door shut..the camera guard bent a bit but apart from that everything else is in working order. All in all im very happy with the phone and its the best one ive had. I would say a memory card is needed if you are going to play mp3s from it, but if not theres enough memory for a fair few pics.

is this the same type of percentage like the speeding kills (30% of all accidents are caused by excessive speed..turn out its only 3-5%) so what about ppl in off licences do they get there fingerprints taken? or what about the ppl who go to the pub and only drink soft drinks a lot of burglers have had there fingerprints taken..that doesnt stop them does it
