just off the topic.... u know whats hell funny? each year at the dmcs, tony prince will say some shit like "ortofon make the best needles ever, all the best djs will use them. if u want superb quality dont go past ortofon" blah blah blah... funny thing is that ive seen like 2 people competing at the dmcs with ortofons, everyone else uses shures!! lol

lol i was only joking when i mentioned "diesel fuel". i didnt exactly expect people discuss it. its quite obvious that shit will kill your fader. haha soo...stay away from diesel. use only cailube droplets.

yeh resting the side of your palm is a really bad habit. it feels comfortable but it slows u down. another good tip : when pinching. dont put vertical pressure on your fader. only horizontal. vertical pressure (same force as pushing down on your fader cap) when pinching will slow you down like crazy and it also creates unecessary muscle tension which you can use for pinching faster!!! i realised this after agggggeess, and my speed has improved immensely. its always best to use the least amount of pressure (or the minimum u need) on both the vynil and fader with any technique anyways. over tensing, leads to shit sounding unclean, if it sounds clean whilst over tensed (with experience) it generally will sound slow.

vekked: another dope mod for pcv faders is to lube it up with diesel fuel. once that is done grab some cailube and put a drop of that on and you will never have to clean your fader again. it really works. trust me. yeh trust me.

hi guys, firstly sorry to post this topic here, i asked in all the other "pro x fader" threads but cant seem to get a straight answer. i need to know firstly, can i get one of the bad boys sent to australia or is it only for the uk heads at this stage? 2ndly, if i can get on sent to australia, where should i get it from? id rather get it from somewhere in our community "eg skratchshop" but if its heaps cheaper lets say in the US due to the exchange rate i might have to consider buying it there. can someone help me. ive got the money ready to go pls dont let me use a shitty pcv in my qfo for a day longer!!! lol

yeh silk kuts had some nice juggles in the 04 dmc battle. alot of his scratch routines (eg playing out battle records, scratching sample after sample with a dirtstyle beat on the other turntable) are pretty basic but his juggles are very musical. he has the crazy 2click orbit flares going. semi fast but clean as a shaved nutsack.
