  1. From what I've gathered, the stock PCV CF found in every Vestax mixer other than their new PMC-08 needs to be modded. In regards to your question - I don't own either mixer, but what I do have is a mixer that does have P&G faders, just as the SA-5 does. I like my P&G fader a lot - I find it to be smooth - similar to the friction you'd feel as if you were ice skating. I'm sure you already know this, but for the SA-5, there's a cut-in mod you can do (Skratchworx.com review - http://www.skratchworx.com/reviews/sa-5.php) - but like the reviewer states - "having a really tight cut and losing the other settings [pertinence to fader contour] or retaining all 3 settings at the expense of the CUT option." Furthermore, I haven't used PCV faders enough to comment on the Vestax at this time. There's no concrete evidence that either mixer is better or worse than one another in terms of performance or long-term stability. All the best.
  2. On my both my Techs, the pitch range isn't -8% to +8%, but more like 6%-ish on both sides. If the pitch range increase/ decreases over time due to dust, will the same be said for my PDX-2300? Isn't it impervious to pitch changes due to the digital pitch module? Another way to look at it - If the change is pitch is relative to the slider on the rail, provided that the slider is stationary (for instance at +10%) - will the pitch only be affected by wow and flutter? Thanks!
  3. Shouldn't you wait until Apple decides to implement the Core 2 Duo chips in their comps? I read an ad in Best Buy the other day - they claim that the new chipsets are "20% faster, and more energy efficient".
  4. Well you see, when you exercise, your muscles breakdown quicker than they can regenerate - hence the lactic acid. Go to the gym much? If that's the case - Try taking Cytomax - I use to live and die by that stuff - flash recovery. Link - http://cytosport.com/products/cytomax.html
  5. I don't understand why everyone is going ass over tits about this thing. Thc MPC 1000 isn't even that large to carry around. For the price point (est. $799) - the 500 is nice to have - Ableton/ Trigger Finger seems like a more cost conscience choice.
  6. Nice beat - that's probably the quickest I've heard you cut over. Siccck.
  7. The 2300 mkII pro's are solid! It's nice to be able to visually see where the pitch slider is at. If setup properly, I don't see it being better or worse than a straight arm.
  8. Whew. I hope this statement isn't applicable towards MacBooks.
  9. What are you going to do with those? Race for pink slips?

  11. Lol, I actually thought of that last night. Maybe I will after all. :$ Thanks.
  12. Haha! Well, I was just watching some MTV bollocks; Sweet 16, and a part of the song came on. It's actually a verse; think of Missy E. singing it. I think this song was featured in one of the Fast and the Furious movies. One or two, not sure... Fuccck.
  13. "Hot like a fire in the midnight sun"... I've asked my friends about these lyrics, and they say it sounds like Missy Elliot. Not too sure about it, but can anyone tell me what the song is from those lyrics above? :s Thx!
  14. Thread was 'except Ned Hoddings' dude Oh yeah my bad... :$ it was a retarded question anyway I believe I saw your cuts on Slickbeats.net; comp. video. Good work!
  15. Maybe there was some water left in the fader housing. You should shake the fader in an up/ down motion, and remove the excess water with a Q-Tip. Also. I don't compute how the magnet on the screwdriver could have damaged the fader. The magnetic field is only "super-active" when a current is put through it anyhow. 16. Was that statement in the DJ Mag review?
  17. That's pretty cool. So - when are you going to get the "Superman S" on your chest?
  18. The sample .mp3 reminds me of the drills @ the dentist.
  19. If only the Pro-X could be modded into an Empath...
