This software is nothing special. Its just a bunch of plugins all in one. Really its for idiots who are convinced they don't have time to learn a better piece of software. I never liked Propellerheads and now I understand my reasoning.

Wouldn't you rather get an Ecler HAK? Vestax faders are known to get sticky.

Jon Kennedy's a great established artist so congrats on getting his attention! I think your remix does a good job at giving this track a different feel. The original is more epic... like appropriate for a movie score or something where as yours sounds more like a hiphop kinda beat. I think the two are a lot different.

1st you said you need something simple for your crib. Now you say you need something fancy that folds up and everything. lol Reality is you'll probably have to fork out the dough to buy something decent to suite your needs. I also made one for about $15 and it easily comes apart so I can pack it in my record bag. Ill post pics in a few days.

Like dextrous said the film has wicked grimey characterstics and looks nothing like digital whatsoever, but capturing the film to video is a costly process and not really convenient either. Its doable though, but you gotta look into services to get that film transfered to video. There are some DIY devices out there which can produce decent results and if you have the time and money it might be worthwhile looking into. http://homepage.mac.com/onsuper8/diytelecine/index.html is a good example

Fuck pro x mine lasted 9months and completely stopped working. I tore it apart and took a close look at it and the prongs are completely worn down. i bent them back into place and it seems to work for now, but since i had to pull the rails off to get it apart the fader doesn't feel the same anymore. Its not nice and smooth as it used to be even though its lubed up.

my friend just bought that R4 and its sick. it also gives you the ability to play mp3's and movies from the main menu!

oh yeah the 2500 without a doubt is much nicer and is able to process certain things much quicker than than the ancient 2000. The whole chop chop and all that looks like a convenient feature, but i'm getting it as a hand me down from a good friend of mine, so i can't complain. I'm sure once I'm comfortable with the 2000 I'm going to want a 2500 though, so i should start a piggy bank sometime soon.

copped these Air Max 1s from the Nike store when i was in Prague last month.
