  1. Virtual DJ can't handle basic DVS functions though, so it kind of negates the cool features it has. What ? It handles DVS fine, when was the last time you used it ? It literally handles any timecode ever made ? http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/195586/General_Discussion/Virtual_DJ_8_DVS___scratching_at_the_top_table__DJWORX_.html On top of that i am not tied in to any proprietary hardware, so i can use the RME RPM and have the lowest latency possible via express card
  2. http://store.klevgrand.se/item/pressit?utm_source=Klevgränd+Newsletter&utm_campaign=6059c72a3f-Nyhetsbrev-12-2016&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_550bc972ed-6059c72a3f-142637561&mc_cid=6059c72a3f&mc_eid=4183864907 Couple of days on this, really nice plugins by these guys, i collect them s they do sales, each one has been a blinder, this is a quality bit of kit too for $5 No affiliation, just thought you guys might find it useful.
  3. I'm in the middle of dismantling and selling off my studio (thank f**k, no recording screaming punk a-holes with zero talent hahaha) but if you get stuck let me know, i will try to record you a tutorial if i can find the main windows comp.
  4. Mike has it While it may be receiving Tempo information it may not be receiving a trigger to start, if it is hardware then plug in a set of headphones direct to hear if the synth is playing If it is a software synth, ASIO is single source only on most interfaces, there is a cool trick around that however. 1 Download Reaper (It is payware but the demo never runs out and works fully) 2 Instead of using your usual ASIO driver in Traktor, look for one called REARoute (It got installed with Reaper) 3 Create a new track in Reaper and set its input to the same as the REARoute ASIO channel you used for Traktor 4 Reaper is now your ASIO driver, so not only can you route multiple ASIO capable software in to it and use it as an audio hub, it has a great desk/routing and you can load FX instruments whatever
  5. Oh yeah, badman is something of hero to me, and surprisingly has become one to the 20 something metal heads i work with hahahaha I am pretty sure he still has the record for the most released albums on vinyl in the UK (It was the world, not sure if that has changed) http://www.geofflove.biz
  6. While i enjoy these sorts of things, everybody knows you can just load any VST you like in Virtual DJ right ? So you could load a vst with a single note and then map to pitch bend or even notes if you wanted, the VST acts exactly like Vinyl Here, Maschine working exactly like any other deck in Virtual DJ, full vinyl control, could definitely be interesting with one of these MIDI pitch faders
  7. I'm guessing you already got the hook on Cy Payne and Geoff Love too then hahaha
  8. Aloha Desmond If you ever need any training in Recording or such, pop up to Kailua Music School, they have the legendary Aaron"Pipelineaudio" Carey working there now, kick him in the ass and tell him Flexi McNoodle sent you hah.
  9. It's in bad need of a service, the keyboard tracking has gone but I don't know anyone I trust to fix it. I have a few friends who have had horror stories with synth repairs.... I don't suppose any of you folks know anyone who could help? Where abouts are you ? If you are in the uK, you can hook up with Top Hat electronics on Facebook and ask him, I have had so many recommendations for him you would not believe, he's down in Cornwall though. I'm sending him one of my SCS4DJs when he has time (Yeah you have to get on the waiting list he is that well regarded) PS Behringer stuff is off the chain for quite a while now, their QC is superb and the designs are too, the X32 was a whole step up for them, and the NOX range is close to untouchable in its current price range.
  10. In the UK we had this phenomena (I am planning on bringing back) "And his orchestra" anything that was xxxxx "And his orchestra" in the charity/junk shops, i bought it, never even looked at it, every time we got back home and put it on, sample heaven, every track, if you are in the UK and you go break hunting, trust me always buy the 10p horrible looking "And his orchestra" hahaha (Sad day when it stopped grrrrrr) This guy was the backbone of a few of my HipHop releases back 92/93 era (Britcore FTW) if you are British you may remember his stuff from the Two Ronnies or Carry on films or such, he's a grandmaster funk technician of gargantuan proportions...
  11. If you get stuck you can always try Wavosaur, its tiny, runs portable (Runs without even unzipping) and it is free and developed by people who actually make music ha
  12. My names Michael Weston, I used to be a spy.
  13. Get the marsh mallows or jellies or whatever they are called in your country, JVC, here in the UK you can buy them in Tescos for £5, they are self insulating, makes them unbeatable for low cost in ears.
  14. I have had this argument at the Reaper forum at KVR forum at Gearslutz forum, it is pure nonsense really, lets be clear on this Roland and Korg have pretty much owned the Groovebox market since the MC303 was released, early days Roland, later days Korg, every box both companies have released have had samples from records on them, unlicensed and untouchable, they have lawyers coming out of their ying yang and on any criminal grounds it is not illegal, as for moral grounds, really, who gives a shit, most of the people who made the music wouldn't get paid if you coughed up a licence fee, some holding company would, users of Amen brother had to cough up personal donations because the only surviving member of the band never got paid a penny. It is easy to take the moral high ground when you have never actually had to deal with the gutter dwelling shoe filth that you would be giving any licence fee to.
  15. Couple of FYIs DJPlayers developer recommends an Ipad Air original for DJPlayer use, not that it needs it (I have an iphone 4 out of somebodies kitchen drawer that pisses 3ms DVS but no DJPlayer pro on this phone) but it should future proof you for a loooooooong time. If you do go the Windows tablet route, VirtualDJ is killing it on a 8" £25 viglen connect here (Ebuyer daily deal) Traktor is too bloated for these lower end devices, but Virtual DJ is now heavily develooed by Adion of DJDecks and it is super slick and efficient, been running it in with a Hercules P32 for cue and sample juggling. Side note, picked up the p32 for a £100 a week before release (unwanted prize ha) best 100 i have spent in the last few months, tiny, built well, just works, everybody who has tried so far has either bought one or wants one, its the DJ equivalant of a gameboy haha
  16. Nonsense, how can that even be governed ? Is it 50p for a snare sample 50p for a kick, £1 for a piano note. Seriously, it is utter stupidity to even dream of putting sampling in to the same category as a thesis, when you quote in a thesis you are basically saying "Look they think it too" this is not the desired effect of using a sample.
  17. Crap, joined to order one, all gone
