Having a similar problem. However, mine is a bit more heavily modded and the sound/feedback I'm getting is more like a pulsing. At first I thought it was on account of the ultrapitch mod since changing the ultrapitch changes the speed of the pulse. Then I figured maybe the frequency of the motor might be messing with the pre-amp (it was picking up radio at one point when I had the leads to long). But now, I'm honestly at a loss. I've since picked up a second pt01 which I've setup up with the start/stop and ultrapitch. So, no noise/pulsing/hum/hissing on this setup, but having to use the stock needle/tonearm with way too much weight to keep the damned thing tracking properly is so disheartening I've pretty much stopped using the portable setup all together. Oh well.

I just recently did the ultrapitch mod on my second portable with a kit that I picked up from the black friday sale they had a little while back. This one seems to have noticeable fluttering as soon as I try to pitch it down below 10%. As such, I've turned the stock pitch to -10% and just left it there, making any adjustments needed with the ultrapitch knob. Not sure why this might be occurring as I never had this issue with the first install but this work around seems to do the job for me.

Not sure what may have gone wrong/what to do about your pitch/flutter problems, but if you're looking for a replacement belt try the Skipless Bracelet from Flesh One; http://www.beatshelter.com/?product=skipless-bracelet . Seems to do the trick of replacement if the original comes loose with the bonus of providing extra torque.

Hey Stingray, try contacting him about your pre order if you haven't heard anything about it. I was in the same boat and shot him an email yesterday morning, he responded promptly and had a paypal invoice and subsequent tracking info email to me in no time. I'm pretty sure he just got overwhelmed with the demand, which is understandable, since it both looks and sounds dope from a lot of people's experiences as evidenced by Vekked. That said, can't wait to get mine.
