  1. it's an average 2" fullrange speaker i snatched of a portable mp3 player. i hot glued it and wired it in series with the OG speaker... Back in 2013 I did what you suggested - had a portable speaker with it's own amp in there but I went back to the OG amp because I had so many electric consumers in there that the pt01 got overloaded... there is so many cool shit you can do without needing any power... line faders, cue-option, ashtray...
  2. @djlogix does your Bluetooth device have ground loop noise? ground loop isolator is the key to eleminate those... those worked fine for me: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-Aux-Audio-Noise-Filter-Ground-Loop-Isolator-Eliminate-Car-Electrical-Noise-/151617844291?hash=item234d20b443:g:1FYAAOSwo4pYOStu been using them in the pt01 and several DIY bluetooth speakers... it's based on a coil / galvanic isolation.
  3. ...what's your guess? since this is a switch and it appears to not pop i was hoping to replace it with reed switches ...a few pages before i said that the raiden beta had no stable mixing circuit means when you close the fader the aux in gets louder... finally got my hands on the final version and it's true - they didn't change that... wtf?! is everybody deaf? sure.. it's hard to make out with a beat playing but if you feed your aux with a long note, sine wave or pink noise while a turntable is connected you'll notice it real easily. i think they went for a compromise there. if you replace there 1k mixing resistors with 47k the mixing will be stable which leads to a very low output though... could anyone please test their JDD or Triggah to see how they behave ? also which one is the "loudest"?
  4. wiring of the relay is damn i easy - i could help with that. the one i posted is not suitable ootb though - you need a 9V switch relais... 9 + __/ __REL _____PT01 MOTOR OUT + v - _____AIS _____MOTOR + the open format start/stop is NOT a momentary switch - the term arcade button is irritating - been there too...
  5. ^ momentary switch and a print relay example: https://www.conrad.de/de/printrelais-5-vdc-10-a-1-wechsler-hongfa-hf3fa005-ztf-1-st-507549.html
  6. cheers man.. my 06 runs on AC though... there seems to be 2 models?!
  7. the inner diameter of the plug is about 2,5mm and the pin of the power socket definitly is bigger then that... 3,3mm would be the next size? I never came across those I think... The mixer needs the Vestax AC14 power adapter - maybe someone has it?
  8. thanx for responding! I tried those since these are quite popular sizes but the inner pin is too fat... Even the power adapters with different plugs to put on didn't include a suitable one... thought it's some J (apan) plug ...
  9. hey guys, old topic - recent problem... I got the PMC - 06 Pro VCA ( with the -12dB / + 24dB EQ's) but I'm searching my ass off for a suitable power plug... I really just need the plug - not the complete power adapter... Does anyone know the inner and outer dimensions of the plug? Any tipp would be greatly appreciated! Cheers (stock pic)
  10. nops - that's a pretty standard hard plastic enclosure. I'd love to see some metal casings though <3
  11. brilliant!! when will it be available for the masses? I love the "put on top" idea...
  12. ^ i was lucky enough to find another pair of PT01s for very little money (50€ for both) when no one was giving a shit about them - this one is 7"only - true - concepted for scratching only... the other pair i have is my park set up - each one paired with a faderbox and a passive mixer in between - good fun! it's pretty simple to add a bluetooth receiver as a line in also - my faderboxes have them and it's suuuper chilled to stream a beat/looper instead of having another wire... @ rasteri do you already can tell how a M44/7 would perform with your nanofader PCB? also.. you going to sell complete kits ( without fader ) or do I have to get the components on my own? I think got everything - not as SMDs though - a complete package would super sweet - a list should do it too if it eases stuff for you
  13. ...so how does the focus fader actually work? is there stuff I could read or is it a secret?
  14. sth. that's weid about the picture is that the screws are M2 - which are used for smaller ALPS fader (just like in the raiden/frisk)... The Mini-Innofader is hold by M3 screws though... I also can't make out any I/O's on that thing... looks like early stage to me... hope they make it rechargable... Anyone know if the mini takes 9V like the innofader pro (2) ? @vekked The AMX unfortunatly only works in consumption with a laptop or IPad.... aaaaand that sucks so bad You can't use it as standalone 2CH mixer for analog sources without having it hooked up to a computer...
  15. Yooooo.... Would you mind sharing what component / photoreflector you are using? - the link does not work for me somehow I tried something with a photoresistor / led a while back... the fader was turning on/off (via reed switch) a LED that's been sitting in a shrink tube with a photoresistor. it was quit fiddly to adjust the distance/ but overall it was kinda ok but the curve was way to soft so I ditched the idea - seems like I wasn't that wrong though - didn't know about photoreflector until today .. guess the whole thing is mono but passive, right? super curious about this cause I love my non-wiper-fader *edit got it ... SHARP GP2S60 PHOTOINTERRUPTER
  16. more inspiration for all ya... i also added little 20mm line faders to my PT01 - they are linear though - I kinda like the curve they're offering... they do fit perfectly into those 4 plastic thingys around the platter... One Fader was about 0,70 so it's no big drama to abuse em - I actually been rocking that pair for 2 years now and never did anything beside some cleaning spray (pressure air (?) only) ... the buttons are for start/stop (PT01) and the other one is for stop on my RC3 Loopstation - or your MPC, APC... anything that supports a footswitch.. (replaced the 45 adapter with another speaker) also.. how about a target light? the one I used was from a brand called Hollywood sth sth - way cheaper then a Vestax or Numark one... missing stuff on the recent update is the rechargeable battery, the nanofader PCB for my Pro-X, a Shure M44-7 and the ultra-pitch + reverse-mode... hope to have it finished before the 7PT drops can't wait til someone comes up with a solid solution to stabalize the platter... *sigh*
  17. cool to see people loosing fear of modding their shit... for the start/stop button I'd like to add that I did it the same way in 2013 but I switched over to a momentary switch which is connected to a relais - the big advantage is that the button is way (!!) softer then the hard on/off switch which needs quit some force to activate... also the hard button thing was causing dropouts when not beeing pushed right.... I could imagine you also could hang a potentiometer on the "+ lead" to get that ultra pitch function - haven't tried it yet but quit convinced it should do it .. maybe hang a little capacitor in before... also changing + / - on the motor makes it go backwards - sth you easily can realize with another 3x 2pin switch.. (sorry for the messy description).. as much as i love the focus ultra pitch mod i think you can do it a little cheaper on your own - it's cool that he offers the boards for people that can't though.. for the rechargebale batteries i highly recommend those: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Wiederaufladbare-Lithium-Ionen-Batterie-Akku-Ladegerat-DC12V-1800-12000mAh-EU-/191732047724?var=&hash=item2ca41edf6c:m:mBOJJ4jWLT0jup3V-HOlLJw they're affordable and they come with a charger and all - you even can downsize them by taking off the "jacket"... thanx to rasteri for adding the waxcutter to the wiki - will add an instruction asap... and yeah... I WANT THOSE PCB's!!! ..gettin a little off - but are there comparable apps for androids which can be used with timecode vinyls?
  18. Kits, Kits, Kits!! I need one of those for my midi-note-fader-box projects too!!
  19. I'm thinking of a akku pack as well.... I got a few of those which I'm using for portable sound systems and they're pretty cool... http://www.ebay.de/itm/Super-Power-DC-12V-Portable-6800mAh-Li-ion-Rechargeable-Battery-Pack-N1-/251969391580?hash=item3aaa8bcbdc:g:JxcAAOSw~gRV6UYa Even the bigger 9,8Ah fits into the battery "slot" just perfect... any news on the kits?
  20. Alright - I need the PCB only and for 20 I'm taking 4 pieces... Let me know when the time is up!
  21. ...so uhm - anybody else interested in the PCB? Let's lower the price then better sound quality on the ortofon sounds real promising Ante!!
  22. One of the prototype faders we did also had an oscillator/Tone Generator so you could practice your clicks with it in your headphones while walking haha :-)... damn - there is always someone that already did it lol that's pretty cool though - i'm concepting an ATARI CUT CONSOLE at the moment - little synth (1OSC) with build in cutting fader.... another waxcutter-thing i thought of was to put in a switch to route my bluetooth input to the cutting fader so you can stream sounds/noises/long notes onto your passive faderbox to train your cuts when beeing in the wilderness...
  23. you can't put a magnet under the RAIDEN - check the picture of the FRISK FADER (page 5) - there you see that it's not running on rails - it's sitting right on the feet of the wipers - push it it down a little and you'll see what i mean another thing to share: the RAIDEN is put into a "HAMMOND 1551 BLK" enclosure - there is not enough space to fit in a regular fader and 3 sockets though - a permanent wire for the turntable would an option though - i thought of a supply box also - having the little hammond fader case and a second one for the bluetooth and power supply but somehow none of my friends was feeling that.. *ignorant bastards*
  24. without the click-noises it would be the ultimate faderbox - only the optional bluetooth line in needs power a homie just hit me up with this - it's the raiden boss talking future fader boxes:
