  1. Thats nice. You can almost do the same with an OP-1.. maybe with a microgranny too without the display
  2. Had mine for a few days now and yeah, it has a pop sound. You can barely hear it when you turn the volume all the way up on the turntable and adjust the sound from your mixer or amp. I believe Rasteri that it will always be present with a passive fader. Trade-off ain't bad since you won't have to worry about powering up the fader. The cuts are smooth as hell and sounding loud and clean when recording into my OP-1, which was a problem I had with the OG Raiden.
  3. I wonder who will be the main sponsor. I can see NI jumping in on this one, like Stanton did for Beatdown.
  4. You already have it? Not yet, but I got one on preorder.
  5. Got a chance to try it last night with Jesse Dean himself and it definitely feels how a crossfader should feel with 2 rails. It isn't optical or magnetic and still has strips of contact, but is copper instead of carbon. The copper strips have a protective coating that I think protects from oxidation. Very light feel and cut is sharp. I'd have to have one for at least a week to give it a stamp of approval, but from what I tried yesterday, it seems like a solid portable fader.
  6. That DJ Player app + USB TTable + Lighting camera kit combo is legit. The times I've tried it, I did not notice any latency. Felt like I was cutting with a 7" cut record. I need to get me an iOS device now, maybe an iPod Touch.
  7. This is too ill! Been bumping this the whole week and can't get enough. I can't help but get reminded of the Volca drum machine. Wondering which drum machines you guys used?
  8. Ableton/Komplete mainly because it's so easy to get exactly what you want. Also use an OP-1 and Electribe Sampler when I get tired of looking at a computer screen. Recently got a JU-06 that I use with the Electribe. Sounds dope.
  9. Just came home to my copy(long beach CA). So far the feel of the record is nice and light(thin). My ST8150 loves it.
  10. Sweet Savwar! Looks like a perfect fit, and on the super cheap.
  11. Can't wait either. I got a couple Scratch Science records on the way also. About time I get my hands on some Euro skipless.
  12. Cool news! I actually placed an order yesterday shipping to CA, US. Does this mean it will probably ship soon?
  13. Dope juggles. I love it when DJs flip super-mainstream tracks. Reminded me of PTrix's Young MC Juggle.
  14. Started with the weaker hand on the record and never looking back. My first mixer was a Gemini PMX-16 and was impossible to cut on with my weak hand. Wish i can cut with both hands equally, but I'm getting older and just want to master what I know best. Why waste time when you can already make music, ya know? I'll add that if I'd ever get a C1 though, I'd learn,
  15. Mostly hoarding. I hoard a lot of gear, but the 500 is a pretty special piece. I collect a lot of battery powered gear.
  16. I have MPC500s too(4 of them), SP-404sx, and Microsampler. I just love that 404 for multiple purposes. It's a super fun machine. I mainly use the 500 for finger drumming, but sampling and sequencing with it is actually pretty easy. Saving stuff is a pain though.
