  1. Wow this is awesome! Did you by chance do the illustration/animation as well?
  2. I recently got me some Numark HDX's and I'm wondering if anyone knows or has a good source of digital scratch samples. I'm just looking for a bunch of individual scratch samples in individual mp3 files rather than a whole 9 minute mp3 full of scratch samples.. Easier to pull them up on the HDX that way. I could splice them up individually myself but thought I'd ask before putting time into that.. By the way, what's a good & simple audio editing software on a Mac? I used to use audacity on Windows for quick cuts & edits back in the day.
  3. Found the kitty song on my hard drive... http://picosong.com/fWiK
  4. It sounds like he's talking about this trick Kentaro uses towards the end?
  5. No, I haven't. But it's supposed to be compatible so I'm sure it will work great.
  6. Same feedback on the scratches as the other guys. LOTS of interesting sounds, just needs adjustment on the timing so it goes with the beat. Loved your video editing..
  7. A little update in case anyone was curious: The fader arrived today and it was indeed an Alpha fader, identical to the one that comes with the DJM-707/909 except the housing is black instead of silver. The physical resistance of the fader also seems about the same. Installation was very easy - there are three pins that need soldering and the fader component is structured in such way that you can only assemble it the right way. The new fader is working perfectly fine in my 909
  8. In Chicago. Just ordered the ebay fader and total was $36.81.
  9. Thanks for the info guys I think I'll go ahead and give this one a go. Hopefully shipping to the U.S. won't be any problem. As far as I can tell there is no physical space to install anything other than the original fader/PCB for the line faders. I thought the inno mini might work, but wasn't listed as compatible.
  10. I recently acquired a used 909 and one of the line fader is physically broken I looked into replacements and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-channel-fader-for-Pioneer-DJM-909-DJM-707-/171441816011?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Mixers&hash=item27eaba81cb It looks like they are third party faders. Has anyone tried them and are they any good?
  11. Sweet, thanks for the update! As for the link, I'm going to assume that one is an error on the website. even the representative answering the questions has all the terms confused.
  12. I think it's safe to assume it's just a screw up on Amazon's part. It looks like they mixed up the description of the N44-7Z (12 pack) with the N44-GQ (4 pack) or something. Yeah, it's a confusing naming scheme.. Anyway, I promptly bent my brand new N44-7 stylus as I was removing it from its packaging today so I might try this deal on Amazon as well. These things are FRAGIL!
  13. Sick! Loved the record manipulation around 35-45 sec.. Are you a lefty?
  14. Cool, let us know when you get them. I opted for a single N447 stylus since I wanted a new one quick. The N44G's track really well at around 1.75~2.0 grams of weight on a straight arm. Pretty amazing. I was also able to confirm that Q is indeed placed after the model number for 4 packs, and Z for 12 packs.
