  1. £75 a ticket. Sod that. The films probably rubbish anyway.
  2. Some of those 'celebs' are a bit whoooooo? But there are a few who I think could do a good name drop.
  3. You wont get any noise while using the pads because they're for DVS timecode cue control and the laptop is reading the timecode signal only and converting it to your track output sound thus you are removing any feedback, needle dust noise or bass from the platter. The timecode is just telling the laptop what part of a track to play at any time. If you were playing regular records then yeah same as any deck you'll get noise from the platter but you won't be hitting the midi buttons.
  4. What? That's more than a 62 as it stands. I'm sure retail will be a bit less but still that's steep!
  5. Could be the first bit of gear to make me jump ship from traktor IF the price is right.
  6. You can also use this technique to make a digital scratch sentence or sequence into an ultrapitch sentence. Just slow the turntable down to minus whatever and hit sync and the samples will be played at correct speed but the turntable is only spinng slowly.
  7. If its just for monitoring scratch practice would one of these on your master out rca's work? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/320789424813?_mwBanner=1 May not be ideal
  8. Order placed. Looks good, can't wait.
  9. After running traktor on 2 separate windows systems, last summer I got a MacBook Pro. The windows laptops were both well above minimum spec to run traktor but required a lot of tweaking to get them to run well enough to trust 100% lots of things had to be switched off in device manager making it pretty much useless as an everyday laptop because certain services needed turning on and off depending on my preferred use. One of them used to crash literally 3 hours after booting traktor. Luckily I never played out for more than 2 hours max. The main issue was that the internal soundcard had to be disabled then if I wanted to use the laptop speakers and enabled the soundcard when I then went back to my external soundcard it wouldn't be recognised and would always require multiple reboots to get it working. I had some cash and bought a 2012 macbook pro and it just works. Zero issues so far. Takes few days adjusting to a mac os. Plus it looks great and feel great to use especially the trackpad. I still have the windows laptop though as my everyday workhorse for torrents and browsing etc. DJing/ music production wise I'm a mac man all the way now but still hesitant to use it as my only laptop incase I mess something up lol!
  10. Generally I find traktor analyses and grids the majority of tracks ok but I've always thought a beatgridding mode for traktor would be useful, like being able to view full screen waveforms without all the other buttons and screens getting in the way. I think that was supposed to be one of the good points of the traktor dj ios app, being able to beatgrid on the move and sync up with your laptop later but the feature was pulled due to glitches apparently. Hopefully NI can sort that soon. As far as gridding certain stubborn tracks I do the following, Delete any existing grid with the trash can button. Move the waveform to beginning and find first beat Zoom in and drop a beat marker on beat 1. Most tines this is also my 1st cue point so I also set that and change the cue type to a yellow load cue so it always loads to cue 1. Zoom out again Then using mouse drag the tempo/bpm reading up or down accordingly so that the markers allign roughly on my first 8 bars ( if I'm lucky to get a consistent first 8) Then using the buttons under the beat grid move buttons you can fine tune the grid to fit the beats without moving the first grid marker.(hint. Right click moves faster and a ctrl-click faster still) Hit the padlock button to save. Done. Sometimes I'll add more grid markers further into the track on a one beat at a point in likely to mix out at to make sure my fx are sync'ed but adding loads blocks your waveform view and covers your cue markers so isn't an ideal solution. You can add multiple grid markers but can only have one tempo/bpm per track. Fingers crossed for elastic beatgrids or warping in traktor pro3 when it arrives
  11. In a word no. You'll loose your mates for hours cant get signal to ring them get asked if you sell drugs by a hundred tourists. At least that was my experience a couple of years ago. Was a DnB night though if that changes anything? Having said that it wouldn't stop me going back if there was something/one I wanted to see.
  12. The pins nearest the socket hole will be the sleeve/shield/ground. It sounds like you have the kind of headphone socket you get on a tv where when you plug in the headphones it cuts the output to the speakers by means of little spring switches inside the socket. Got a good photo of the actual part?
  13. Update on this thread, Never got round to buying a Wi-Fi extender because I bought a MacBook and instantly noticed an big improvement to the signal due I guess to a better antenna inside? I then also moved the router in the house to a windowsill at the back of the house and haven't had a single drop out since.
  14. The option to download videos to a device I guess?
  15. Despite my comments above, obviously I've applied for a beta invite though lol.
  16. Check out the article here http://www.cnet.com/uk/news/youtube-music-key-googles-stab-at-taking-paid-streaming-songs-mainstream/ I use YouTube a lot for checking out (mainly old vinyl) releases as I like being able to see the record label to confirm it's the version I want to buy. And I'm generally not a fan of music videos, never have been so its not for me but some of my more mainstream music fan friends are keen on the idea.
  17. ^ Just look at how well I can post with quotes on the forum from my windows phone. Can't even do that properly. Lol.
  18. Don't get a Windows Phone. ^this I had a Nokia Lumia 920 forced upon me from work, there's things I like but too much I don't such as the massive lack of any useful apps. Luckily the boss has seen some sense and iPhone 6s is on the way in new year but he is insisting that we all use these military grade covers which make them huge as a few people smashed screens recently on the Nokias (probably due to frustration)
  19. A friend updated his OS on release day and quickly realized his Native Instruments Audio 6 wasn't recognized by the laptop. However he found this advice from NI http://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/knowledge-base/show/3188/my-ni-audio-interface-is-not-recognized-under-mac-os-x-10.10-yosemite/ Basically updating the firmware to latest release using another computer. After seeing his working I also updated as I was holding off due to issues I'd read about but I can confirm my audio 6 is working fine also and no longer issues with Traktor software either. The new traktor is also released yesterday with no mention of OSX Yosemite compatibility?
  20. Mine arrived today finally. All good soundwise and tracking good too. At least they've better than the bent ones I had on before. If only they made some not as fragile.
  21. Just placed an order for the 4 pack. I'll let you know when/if it gets here (UK)
  22. Nice. Mine arrived this morning and I have a rare morning off work so was able to take delivery direct from the postie rather than trudge all the way to the post office at the weekend, and it arrived in perfect condition, Double Bonus. Thanks and well done on making it happen.
  23. Probaly not, its just a BT home hub 3 I think
