  1. Basically, I wanna get an A6 so an offer to cover that would be attractive
  2. I have a MOTU Ultralite for sale. In good nick, boxed, etc. open to offers.
  3. I got mine from here: http://www.styleflip.com/ It's lasted really well.
  4. I think you've pretty much nailed it with this. Good find! Maybe the shields could have those pressure-sensitive mats on them? I think they're quite pricy though. Maybe make the swords the trigger - you could make the swords with those air drumsticks inside each sword. Do they need to be wireless? Actually, there's loads to think about!
  5. This is just a post to see what people's tastes are like so please post up what you think are phat looking setups!
  6. Purely subjective, you cannot choose your own, but I think this is a good looking kit... Is it the best?
  7. Congratulations. I can't even win at DJ Hero so you've done we'll there!
  8. This is shocking and I am filled with horrification at reading this blatant "how to" thread on video piracy. That being said, I would always trust and have never been let down by AVS, especially when ripping ye olde samples from 90's Gangsta movies, circa millennia Sci-fi or anything said by Will Ferrell... ever. I would also suggest the Tor Browser to circumvent any service-provider "security" a just "copy link location" as opposed to the normal method. Other than that: you wouldn't steal a car, blah blah blah
  9. Buy an HD 3D-ready Projector and be future-proof... including your twilight years and your pork pies start to go! I have one (and it's not even HD or 3D) and it's great.
  10. As requested: http://www.digitalvertigo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=34496&do=findComment&comment=350746
  11. First of all, I would like to thank hahajoey for his thread (which inspired me), which is here: http://www.skratchlounge.com/index.php?/topic/6062-qfo-phono-master-out-mod/ This is basically a variation of his mod so please check his out too because if you're not scared of taking a drill to your Q, his is tidier. Consider both methods for the following reasons: - His is better because both headphone outputs remain functional - mine only works if you use 3.5mm/1/8" jack headphones to monitor. - His is better as the leads come from the rear, whereas mine comes out of the 6.3mm/1/4" headphone output (located at the front of the QFO. - Mine is far easier to do and requires next to no skill! - Mine can be reversed... kind of. If you use crocodile clips as opposed to soldering, this method becomes completely and easily reversible, unlike the vasectomy I had 4 years ago. What you will need: - 50cm/20" of 3-core wire. 2-core screened will do - assign the screen to Ground. - Soldering iron, solder and holder etc. I chose the first 2 and smugly told the sales guy that "I only need it for 20 minutes, I begrudge spending £15 on it already and I will be fine"... I then burned my motherfucking finger. - Wire strippers/scissors. - Screwdriver. - A 6.3mm Stereo male jack to mono phone (or mono jacks if you're running pro soundcards). - To be left alone for a hot second. How to... - Pop the patient upside down. I used 2 piles of 4 DVD cases so the spindle and tone arm cleared the deck. - Unscrew the feet and take out the World'd (relatively) longest screws - Unscrew all the body screws - all are the same size. - Unsolder the Gold strip and pull apart. You may have to bend it backwards but it goes back or it will keep flicking back and cause you to lose concentration and burn your finger. F'real. - Solder 3 wires to outer edge Ground (Black) and the 2 cores to the red and the black terminals. Make note about which is which, according to what colours you have in your wire. - Thread the wire through to where the crossfader chamber is. - Re-solder the Gold strip back together. The glue should still be enough to hold it back in place. - Unplug and unscrew the Headphone jack. - Solder the Black to the terminal located in the middle of the casing of the headphone jack. - Pretty sure there is a science to this and I cannot remember how, but I just chose the left terminal (with the middle/black terminal facing away from you) to white, right to red. Don't worry if you get it wrong - you can just swap the wires with your adapter. - Remount the Headphone jack, but leave it unplugged. - Screw it all back together. - Done. To reverse: - Open her up. - Unplug your crocodile lead/unsolder your lead. You can leave it - the signal is so low you won't be able to hear it once your pre-amp is in the mix. - Plug the Headphone jack in. - Put back together and deny all knowledge. Hope this is clear. Sorry for no pics. Afterthought: gonna buy a 90-degree adapter to make it slightly less obtrusive.
  12. I suffer from dry hands but always forget to pack moistener in my DJ bag, but my tip is: keep your hands warm! It's worse when it's dry. Once you've blown into your loosened fist and rubbed your mitts together (like you're a cold tramp trying to keep warm 'round a burning bin), you'll be fine. If you're playing out, once the concentration and house lights take effect, you'll warm up enough to get sticky hands!
  13. I went to Eurogamer last year and despite the new COD being unveiled, this turned a few heads. The promo girls were off-the-chain hot too. Fact.
  14. Lol at the obvious misinterpretation of this thread! Incidentally, I HAVE invented a time machine. I fashioned it out of an IKEA wardrobe. My recent studies have seen me entering the aforementioned device and after sitting in there for a few minutes, when I exited, I was five minutes into the future. It's in the infancy stages at this juncture, but a second test allowed me to watch an episode of 24 on my iPad and, despite onscreen indicators, I had watched a full hour in the life of Mr Bauer and upon my emergence, it was only 42 minutes later. I am going to name this phenomenon a "Bauer Hour" and it applies to any activity that you assume will last an expected length of time, but invariably prematurely terminates. For example, seeing your favourite live musician, a night out granted by the wife or sex with an attractive female. My journey continues...
  15. There's a lot of fun to be had cutting Akala's XXL lyric "Funky as Hell with the Double X L riddim" in case the other "Funky" samples were getting old...
  16. I'm loving Algoriddim's DJay at the moment for iPad solutions. I bought a second-hand Numark iDJ Live mk1 for £50 and whilst not as good as real decks (obviously), it is the best portable system around (bar the QFO, which isn't really portable anyway or the Scratchlophone). I'm hoping to acquire the camera adapter and hook up a Soundcard to the iPad, so I can run beats and use Timecodes with just this and my QFO. Obviously, I hope NI will allow their app to do the same thing - I will after all be using Traktor's DvS Vinyl!
  17. I finally did the DVS-mod to my QFO. Much tidier!
