yeah....i guess i need to write a couple of juggle tracks to try and bridge them..... I've been thinking they sit nicely as individual tracks as well though, if i put all these tracks end to end into one set, it would just be a 10 minute long scratchwank !!!!!

WOW thanks for the kind words people!! @Infinite.. All the effects and echo were triggered from my 62, and yeah, i agree, messing with the echo timing would be nice!! Good food for thought! I have another 3 of these kind of pieces, hopefully i will get them recorded soon

As long as you don't push on your forwards, the sample should drop in key Theres also a bit of a knack required to get the right intonations i guess, but if you have ever spent time making chirps go up and down in tone, it should be fairly easy to drop nicely.... It's funny....i been using harmonics in mixes for years....just never thought of applying it to cuts until now!!!

Yes Jon, i agree....which is probably why i haven't won a DMC title yet Until now, i have only really been playing with timed scratch sentences, it really didn't occur to me to be making in key musical cuts until i played with the Scratch Science Daily Thrill. Until now its pretty much been freestyle cuts over beats....now I'm trying to be more "setting it out as a song" in my approach to production.

And yeah Sy, i agree, the flute needs simplifying

PMSL doppelkorn !!!! But yeah, basically what sy said....i wrote the beat in a specific musical key, and set out samples in the right order/timing/musical key to create a scratch track that i can play out live

Yeah that was amusing last night!!! I still think that as a battle DJ, you HAVE to look like you OWN the stage, and put a little bit of performance and showmanship in there....... saying that, theres no point trying to look good if your cuts sound like R2-D2 raping a Garbage truck.
