  1. There is so much more I think, like what about the pads being modular, I can swap 8 large pads for 32 small pads on 1 or both decks, pad banks (needs expanded software cue point storage, no idea why this wasn't done 10 years ago). Better effects & effects stacking, I want sidechain on my effects in the mixer too, that hasn't been done yet. More FX/fader routing options, I think the S11 has started playing with this kind of stuff. Honestly even the S9 is like 10x beyond the Z2 and the S9 is kinda outdated now. I think there's still a lot of room to grow. Built in samplers and resampling with multi channel playback options that can be controlled externally by midi controllers. Hardware based pitch'n'time within the mixer, I could go on forever haha, then you can key lock in software, and change pitch via mixer hardware.
  2. hey up lads done another scratchy thing as it's dmc season, hope you like it :)
  3. Thanks mate, glad you like! I love the warble, can't help it haha. I think I just like it when pitch drifts, same thing as a slightly out of tune synth, it does something nice to my brain.
  4. Yo guys! Made a lil thing for CSG 2021, hope you dig it, I had fun making it! Lemme know if you got any Q's or anything about routine etc.
  5. Hope you guys like it, was tryna not spend too much time on the whole process!
  6. Thanks dude! Erm, I guess if I wanted to perform it again I normally just relearn it from the video, it doesn't tend to take too long! I try to stick with a system for where I put cue points on each routine so they kind of still make sense when I go back to them as I use the same system for each routine. I think with this one if I wanted to perform again I'd probably change a few bits because some parts were really hard to do clean, this was maybe a bit more of a make something and record it and never come back to it routine
  7. hey guys! Made a new thing, after a bit of a rough end of last year and start to the new one I just wanted to put something quick together to get back into the swing of things. Hope you like!
  8. Done another routine! Trying to be a bit more musical this time for IDA Showcase, was my first time using the RP8000/doing the whole melodic kinda thing. After putting this together I'd approach it differently next time, but that's learning I guess! All the songs in the routine are tracks I wrote over lockdown.
  9. @Jon Yo, thanks so much for the mention man! I've been really trying to push myself this year, spent 90% of that time doing stuff that turned out to be a waste but I think it's taught me what my weaknesses are and what I actually need to do to improve going forward, so I guess time well spent on reflection. Probably 50% of all the routines I watched/revisited this year to get myself hyped to create were yours, so there's got to be some Jonspiration in that routine! @Steve Not exactly new on the scene but I've been super hyped on what Dwells and Fummy have done in the last couple of years. The drumming bit at the end of this one I really like sonically:
  10. Thanks man! I mix hamster too haha. I couldn't imagine swapping for juggling!
  11. Don't know how I missed checking this man, it's killer! Always enjoy your beats!
  12. Yo! Haven't posted anything in a while, but also haven't been doing much scratching until recently. Anyways after hopping back on the horse properly over the last 12 months I thought I'd give DMC a shot for the first time since 2014, here's my set! I was prepping for IDA Tech before DMC was announced and had just recorded two of my 2 min sets back to back to use for DMC, but when I saw Ritchie and JFB were entering I decided to try and step it up a notch and put something completely new together over the space of two weeks using the new Zora Jones album, which you should check if you haven't it's super dope! Was stressful/fun putting it together but I'm feeling hyped and looking forward to pushing myself to put some better stuff together in the future. Hope you like!
