  1. Thanks for shhhharing these. Can't wait for the release, it all sounds so good
  2. Just to give an idea of the kind of stuff you'll find on this mix cd, it's primarily hip-hop, but it branches out into other halloween-related territory. You can find tracks by Juggaknots, Gorillaz, Cage, Hobo Junction, B Real, Binary Star and Beastie Boys, as well as artists like Michael Jackson, Rob Zombie, Metallica, Ray Parker Jr. and even Tim Curry makes his way into the mix.
  3. Well, got 50 copies of the CD in today, and boy does it look sweet! the printing co. i went with this time did a real tasty job on them... again, if anyone's interested in buying this mix, being that it's so close to halloween and all, i will express mail it to you at no extra charge just to make sure you get your disc in the mail before the witching hour. But order soon! Or I can't guarantee a pre-halloween arrival for you.
  4. quick bump, got some cover art to show ya: http://www.seithonline.com/music/halloween...tcoversmall.jpg

    Marcus B?

Yeah, looks like his band released a new album too - about time! Pretty much guaranteed this album won't surface on p2p apps for a good 8-9 months, it's quite surprising this guy doesn't blow up like he should anyone listen to the first square circle album i posted the link to yet? thoughts, input? and my soulseek is on pretty much 24/7, so if you're gonna grab the tapes, they're all there
  7. Couldnt agree more. couldn't up my post count more. Couldnt agree more! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> couldn't up my post count more!
  8. I didn't like Little Brother at all, it was too R'n'B for my liking... one or two good tracks off that album, the rest was too soft
  9. Are these guys supposed to be some sort of sexual cult music or something? "The future is SA-RA..." "SA-RA Creative Partners is a collection of musicians, producers and executives from New York and Los Angeles" "Don't be afraid of our sound..." and they keep referring to themselves as "We" i.e. "We are so appreciative of your early support in having us on your radio show..." It's on some freaky alien religion shit... but it sounds pretty groovy... i'm just wondering about the story behind these guys
  10. oh, and what about alien army's "the end" or "vi-r-us" by the fingerbangerz? two good scratch albums

    DJ Yoda

I wouldn't put a lot of faith in the guy if you're looking for something a hip-hopper can appreciate. Tapes are not very good, scratching and samples can sometimes be confusing and misplaced...
  12. i remember back in my ol' 486 days, i screwed around a lot with shells and stuff, found this nice one, calmira, made win 3.x look like windows 98, only it ran faster than 98! loaded up faster, shut down nicer, cut load times by not taking up as much resources, it was so good when i upgraded to a p200, i installed 3.x instead of 98 and set up calmira on that instead, super nice! wish i had the link to that shell though... better than icky program manager "load up my laptop with pro tools/ and program manager, ha" -Braintax

    Marcus B?

yeah, from bill and ted 2, and yeah, hit me up on soulseek, i'll send you all i got, these tapes are as good as people say they are oh, and that epitonic link i put up has some of his tracks on the site for download in good quality off of two of his mixtapes
  14. holy hell if only there was a way to re-seed your download if you accidentally close it or your computer fucks up or something (i'm using bt++, used to use bittornado... is there a better client out there???)
  15. what about astalavista, you don't use that? google seems awfully broad for something like that http://astalavista.box.sk/
  16. anybody check out the ROM Pit reviews over at http://www.somethingawful.com before? some of it is brutal
  17. checking this out now y'know, it's funny, i've seen the dubse7en name elsewhere online, and only now have i got to actually talk to the guy
  18. I've been searching for this guy's mixtapes for 3 years now, and i've got quite a few of them over time, but there's still more out there that I haven't been able to secure yet. Marcus B, for anyone who doesn't know, is one of the original members of the 1200 hobos (dibbs' crew) who has been compared, at times, to DJ Shadow. Some who hear him actually place him above Shadow in terms of skill and composition. He started out in the mixtape scene in the mid-nineties with something different that set his mixtapes apart, in a league of their own - they were actual productions of his, occasionally playing a track or two of someone elses - but what made the line really blurry was that a lot of his sample sources were immediately recognizable. On his Scatterbrain mixtape, for example, he takes part of Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" and mixes it over a track he otherwise produced himself. On "Gollum's Ring", he will develop a groove by mixing 3 or 4 hip-hop tracks, then bringing several of his dark compositions into it leaving the listener wondering what to classify the mix as, but enjoying the ride nonetheless. Anyway. If anyone's interested in listening to any of his stuff, hit me up on soulseek (same name) and grab some. Most of the tapes of his that I have have been split up by me, to be more discman-friendly. My current collection of his work is: Scatterbrain Sunshine Ambassador Gollum's Ring Catastrophic Mush In The Hour Of Chaos (ft. DJ Fingaz) Superior Cynic Square Circle - Say Hello To Square Circle (the band Marcus B had recently joined - I believe this band is still together, if anyone can shed some light on that it would be appreciated) As of right now, I am missing the following tapes of his: Gone With The Spin Matrix Mix Return of the Fett Barnstormers and rumour has it that he did a sequel to superior cynic. There are probably some others I haven't listed, too. Links that I am aware of at this time: http://www.epitonic.com/artists/marcusb.html http://www.rabbitfighter.com/ (hasn't been updated in forever) http://www.squarecirclemusic.com/ http://www.revoltrecords.com/bands/square_circle/index2.htm (the whole Square Circle album can be found here: http://www.revoltrecords.com/audio/media_private/ ) I am somewhat new to these boards, but you all seem like a bunch of cool cats so I figure what the hey, might as well make my first post a good one for everyone. Hope someone sees this and can help with those missing tapes.
  19. What's the song you guys are covering in "Aint it funky now"? Didn't Dibbs use this in a mixtape?
  20. that video prompted me to buy one of those RC-20 dealies. Those pedals are dope!
