To be honest there is hardly anyone who could have kept up with D there. It's probably some of the best scratching I have ever seen. When you listen to it with the comentary even the other junkies are saying that. To be honest though Kentaros cutting on it is pretty shite. In fact terrible but I think that may have something to do with him being a bit intimidated. It's almost like he can't think of what to do so he just does sloppy 2 clicks.

Has anyone seen the part with D Styles and Kentaro. I got this DVD last week and can't believe that part. I feel really sory for Kentaro cause you can see from the second the beat starts and D begins cutting that he's thinking ohh fuck but D Styles scratching. Jesus , it's absolutly amazing. Has inspired me to cut over fast electro. If anyone hasn't seen it they should check it.

Sketchbook is pretty crap. Just stupidly overated. This is nowt to do with disliking Ricci niether. It's just a s simple as, it is extremely tight and I appreciate the fact it's scratched but the music is pretty wack. I can not understand why people go on about it being some musical work of genius. There is not one song on it which really makes me feel anything. There are a couple of ok songs but that's it. If it really was so musically brilliant you'd be able to play it to people who don't cut. And I don't mean people who are into music who don't cut and you are showing them what can be done with scratching. I mean just put it on while you are getting stoned, or with friends after you have been out or at a party or what ever. You couldn't. Id be told to turn it off. In comparison you can just chill with friends and listen to an album by shadow, or even RJD2 or someone like Quantic even. As far as electronic instrumental shit goes the british broken beat stuff like Bugz In The Atic and 4 Hero is fucking 10000000 times nicer. It just fucks me off all this musical genius shite. Seriously think of the last time you went to see a decent live band who really made you feel nice inside watching them. Even if it's a mates band or what ever. Think of how their shit makes you feel and tell me Sketchbook makes you feel like that. Nooo way. It just doesn't. Anyone who says otherwise must be blinded by the fact that it's scratched. Cool. I'll get a top quality mix of the hard house and gabba together and post that shit ASAP. Hahaha. Nah can't post a file as they are gonna put out a record really soon so don't want to put ish on the internet.

Thing is though I think the problem is lots of people (Me included) sometimes think the innternet and message boards represent a large chunk of the scratch scene which isn't true. Of all the people I know who scratch less than 10% of them go on message boards. The best 2 scratchers I know don't go online at all. I also know of 2 guys from Newcastle who make the best "scratch music" I have heard by a mile and no one would even know who they are. I know loads of people go on about how they know people who are good blah blah but as far as all scratched down tempo music it pisses all over everything I have heard including the stuff I've heard from everyones favourite djs and the supossed inovators. It's the only stuff I've heard you can put on at work and people who don't evn know what scratching is will come over and ask about it saying they like it. Anyway I have totaly forgot my original point but fuck it I have a massive hangover. Scratching is gay anyway, I'm a start mixing Spanish Trance and Hard House.
