  1. with a band pass filter you could remove the frequencies of the beat but this won't work in most cases, dont suppose you have the track he did it on?
  2. well, if you have the instrumental, then if you line it up perfectly in time will the full track and invert the phase of the instrumental you will only be left with the bits that aren't in the instrumental (e.g. the rapping). however, you can't simply filter away the instrumentals because filters work by reducing or cutting certain frequencies, and the voice tends to share frequencies with the other parts in a track.
  3. yup, tk maxx can be a goldmine, an awful lot of world cup 2002 etc stuff there too tho being stingy has it's advantages and pitfalls
  4. they just sell that freshjive, obey type ripoff crap. £24 for a t-shirt is a complete waste of money. http://www.rebelo.co.uk/collection.php - i got "prototype#1" off ebay for £6 when they were starting out, even at £14 they're a bit more than i'd normally pay, but it's still cheaper than the designer stuff, and i'd rather have something lesser known. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there's not much choice on there though is there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> just an example, if you know where to look you can get decent t-shirts on the cheap, i rarely spend more than a tenner and, although far from trendy, i have lots of t-shirts i'm very keen on

  6. what price can he do m447 replacements for? less than $27 each?
  7. i'm up for that, sam ash has them for roughly £15, thats the cheapest froogle comes up with, although ttlab has the n44c in stock for $20, which apparently are more rigid and hard wearing, and better skip resistance, but do wear your records out a bit quicker, works out at about £11.40 each!
  8. ok, so it's finally got to that time of the year again when my needles are crying out for help, bent beyopnd recognition, and seeing as skratchuk appears to be no more, where is the cheapest place to get m447 replacements? also, is it better to replace with the 7 or the g needles? i know some prefer g over 7... peace

  11. went to see kings of leon last night, kicked ASS! still buzzing favourite hip-hop gig was probably dilated last year at islington academy, a proper tiny venue, mr. complex supported and i was dead centre, total front row, or last november when i went to see busdriver, rob sonic (who is fat and crap), beans and mike ladd, also incredible
  12. my mate got a hifi seperates cd player from richer sounds for like £40 which had +/-10% pitch, it wasnt particularly compact, but its cheap and does the job for him!
  13. cdj100s are solid as fizzle and get the job done, not many features though and not sure how cheap they are compared to the gemini etc offerings in my (limited) experience, anything should do you fine, as long as you buy from a name brand - it's mostly all the same technology
  14. best mp3 player on the market is definately the rio karma - currently £130 inc postage from amazon.co.uk, it's 20gig, has long battery life, plays all formats the sound quality is rated as one of the best in the market, check out some online reviews, they all seem to say the same thing http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...9876219-1882063

  16. Wasn't it invented by Tim Berners Lee in the UK? This is an archive of the first ever website, made by him: - http://www.w3.org/History/19921103-hyperte.../News/9201.html <{POST_SNAPBACK}> got no evidence to back this up, but afaik the internet was developed in sweden, the web (as in the front end) was developed by tim berners lee
