nope. you change recording input from mic to the line in and just play the vinyl.

your best bet would be to buy a new copy and rip it using serato's built in recording feature (if you have serato which it sounds like you might). the quality will be flawless.

lmao!!! but i totally agree. i do find it harder to cut in public because i tend to lose that flow that i get when i cut alone or with somebody. i just dont zone out or get in touch with the music like i usually do. maybe it's fright or something?

i have a ton of musical experience. i've been playing percussion (drums, marching snare, marimba/zylophone/vibraphone, etc.) since 6th grade and make beats/songs on the side. understanding music definitely helps your ability to cut and flow with the beat. i think each of the art forms feed and fuel each other. if i don't feel like cutting, i'll go do something else which usually inspires me to cut. but then again, people like toad and d aren't accomplished musicians.

i'm gonna be using it for personal use. particularly for the "art" type of photography. nah it's not that. the digital cameras that i've used haven't produced that high quality of pictures. maybe the cameras just sucked but idk. also slrs are a little more expensive than i'm willing to go. what are the benefits to using dslr over slr other than convenience?
