  4. I'm very glad i'm moving to London in the next 2 weeks.
  5. Yeah it didn't quite have the bite or diversity of Ninja Tunage but I think of it as the number two label in that kind of approach - mostly hip hop orientated stuff, but delving into electronic and others. The Broadway Project album of last year I thought was one of the best of their releases, and the QNC album is pretty good as well. Even if some of their stuff did sound a bit samey, it's the kind of label that isn't easily replaced.
  6. I like that Yeah it definetly applies to a lot of scratch djs and peoples in the scratchernet... Thing is, most great hip hop production that I can think of relies on sampling (e.g. Pete Rock, Premier, J-Zone etc). Hip-hop needs recycling! If he's talking about lyrics that's a different story though - it's pretty unoriginal to steal lines off older tunes with no attempt to make them any different or more interesting, or to pass them off as your own.
  7. thanks man, I was thinking the same thing about the cuts. I think I might multitrack it once just to put some scratches over it
  8. No I accidentally put the wrong link in. It should work now.
  9. This is a dark / techy drum & bass mix i've done to give to a promoter in notts. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, cheers! Download It Here
  10. If you have an interest an Ninja Tune (including Ntone & Big Dada), Low Life Records, Sanctuary (some decent hip hop), Innerground (DnB), Full Cycle (DnB), etc ie. SHITLOADS, you can basically download 90% of their catalogues from Wippit for.....£50. Legally. Mental. Oh, and Grand Central.
  11. I like that a lot - reckon that's what Ugly Duckling would sound like if they were from Wales/UK.
  12. Those cuts on his Myspace are pretty mental. Nice work on the triple post on his page Discuss!
  13. Interesting mix of styles and i reckon it largely works, although for me the vocal samples maybe get a little repetitive but that's just my grumpy opinion. Where is the vocal sample from out of interest?
  14. Liked that a lot - little slice of funky freshness very well put together, both beat and cut-wise.
  15. Download The Mix Here As always, any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
  16. That sample is actually on the start of that first track Tino's Baeat, from Tino's Breaks Volumes 1 & 2 (Tino Corp.) from Emusic, which I'd recommend anyone with FS or SSL to check out as well as the Mambo & Dub Volumes: http://www.emusic.com/artist/11577/11577719.html
  17. give me tmrw morning, need to lay some scratches down on it
  18. After a year hiatus due to having a shite sized room at uni, i'm back to the mixing n scratching with the intention of landing a gig or two somewhere in Notts over the summer. This mix was done in one take but i'm gonna put scratches over it so i'll have it uploaded by tmrw afternoon. I know it's a bit rusty but your collective opinions will help my decision whether to give it to spectrum (hip-hop/breaks night) or wait till im fully match fit again. Watch this space.... *EDIT* DJ Infinite - Spectrum Mix
  19. just heard a premo-produced christina aguilera track on radio 1 today. it's about 115bpm but i spose for a pop track theres worse out there. i'm liking that royce track tho.
  20. My wireless network at home is dodgy as fuck - i have to repair the connection every minute or so on average unless my brothers computer is turned on (again, wireless connection), in which case i can browse consistently with no problems :s
