As for the ATI services, they don't seem to be on services either, I think they have their own control panel.
  4. What's happened to the unofficial forum these days?
  5. I've run spybot and deleted everything there but im still getting a pop-up whenever I initially open my internet browser. 6. Neokinetik - Rule by the Iron Wrist (Snatch Scratching) Is a good beat that.
  7. I think quite a few people use WD40. I use something called CaiLube MCL, which says its for faders.
  8. Venetian Snares sounds pure evil to me. And not in a good way. At all.
  9. Calibre is definately worth some serious attention as far as soulful/melodic DnB is concerned, in particular try to find "Calibre EP" (2003) as all tracks involved are in a soulful/jazzy direction and damn good . High Contrast's album "High Society" is also very good.
  10. Little Brother and Foreign Connection are both quite RnB'ish but somehow the majority hip-hop element in it disarms me against hating it. Stuff by The Thyrday or Away Team is less like that, no singing or owt, although the production is still similar. Maybe its just me having a weird fetish for this style of hip hop... :bold:
  11. Little Brother's album "The Listening" is prob the biggest album to come out the record label, and methinks thats dope. But there's tonnes more artists coming from the label as well (L.E.G.A.C.Y., Foreign Exchange, 9th Wonder) who all seem to be making hip-hop that stands out a lot more anything I've heard for a good while. Anyone else out there thats liking Justus's stuff, or am I just weird?
  12. John B has done quite a bit of good jazzy DnB on a couple of his old albums, check out Jazz Sessions 1 and 2 on Visions (1997) in particular. Anyone heard the album "the black steele project" by Subject 13? Well good, chilled dnb.
  13. had fs2 since christmas and its the shizzle. "skipless" mode is the best invention ever for scratching, and with horribly fast rewinds it sounds normal. Definately vastly improved from FS1.5 and possibly even worth the money BTW has anyone else ever used final scratch to mix an accapella and instrumental, and then use that?
  14. may as well add mine: 2x PDX 2300's with Ortofon Scratch carts & Butter rugs Stanton SA-12 & SA-8 (soon to be sold) mixer Kaoss Pad P&G Faders all round Final Scratch 1.5 (to become 2.0 before Chrimbo!) Also got Reason, Fruity Loops & Cool Edit 2.0 but only use the last one. I'm not made of time!
  15. I ordered FS2 nearly 2 weeks ago from ebay, £415, and I've just learned now its been "damaged in transit" and they're gonna have to re-send. Also got an email from ebay saying that these dudes have violated copyright infringment or something so they're obviously conpeople. Just about got enough time to get it delivered from decks.co.uk, they reckon next day delivery, but its gonna be an extra 100 quid or so. Arses.
  16. Xone mixer is pretty good, but it could do with i few more effects other than filters. The crossfader is absolute rubbish for any crossfader-dominated scratching as well. I reckon the sa-12 is pretty damn good in terms of layout, scratching and its effects are alright for its size, but it only has 2 channels. The Pioneer DJM909 will be good for scratching and its got tonnes of effects as well. Well expensive though. BTW what are tube amps?
  17. Yeah i'm liking that a lot. More chilled than the original but it definately fits together really well.
  18. worked like a dream. Thank holy arses for that. My Christmas won't be suicidal after all.
  19. Also check out a program called MediaMonkey. Its very good for organising, tagging and making completely custom playlists for your mp3s. Well easy to get a crack for it as well
  20. i've completely taken the fader apart and it dosent seem to be damaged at all. Someone must have spily something in there and its fucked the fader. so if it's interchangeable does that mean I can use the p&g crossfader from my old mixer (sa-8)? Thing is, the pin connector thing for the channels arn't accessible like the crossfader is so I don't know how I'd actually remove the present one without completely taking apart the mixer. Any ideas? If not I'll take it down to Academy of Sound tmrw, they should be able to do it if I give them the replacement.
  21. I picked up my Stanton SA-12 from the bar where I DJ having left it for the last DJs of the night to use, and I notice the right channel fader is HORRIBLY stiff. Even worse, when I try to use it the volume stays at the same level i.e. the fader seems fucked. I tried cleaning & lubricating it but its made absolutely no difference. Gutted. Any ideas how much Lamba will charge for a new up-fader........
  22. Look out for Highland Hustlers' remixes of Sean Paul's "get busy" and "infiltrate". The last ones actually alright  but only cuz the vocals are filtered. I'm liking a lot of Drumsound & SBSs tracks. In terms of nasty classics, have either of you heard Tech Itch's remix of California Curse by Dylan & Ink? It samples Straight Outta Compton and is about as mean as you can get...
  23. I'm simultaneuously impressed and scared. Please don't say that that cutting technique is less than two years old.
