  1. http://www.allphon.com/int.html check the 2hr "40 winks" special. Tons of other goods there as well
  2. Anyone know if the faders on these babies are any good? I can't find enough info as of yet. If you're not familiar with this yet, its a mixer with a built in Kaoss pad. I want one for that sole reason. Not the best demonstation, but give you an idea of what to expect.
  3. I raced BMX and Cross Country Mountain Biking throughout my childhood and always wanted a Marin. So last year when my bike got stolen I used my insurance cash to buy these which I use just for fun once in a while. The Marin is dope, but my only complaint is the fork. Its not stiff enough and it has too much travel for my taste. Because of this I find the bike less responsive for quick maneuvers and bunny hops and whatnot. Hawk Hill SE DK SIX PACK
  4. nice beat son. Like the the break and the sample stabs with the delay is dope
  5. Damn that should be dope! Quantic has some ill shit
  6. Yeah it is in fact some kind of grounding problem its not the record that you're hearing. I get that exact same whining with my MBOX sometimes. As for the distorting issue if you're using a wireless network card try going into device manager and disabling it before you launch TORQ. My buddy had that issue with his Dell Laptop when the wireless network card was enabled. Report back...
  7. love that track! If no one else gets to it, I'll up it later tonight
  8. Vista is a headache right now. I don't see myself switching to Vista for at least another year.
  9. nice little writeup on skratchworx! http://www.skratchworx.com/news3/comments.php?id=734
  10. Very diverse compositions here. I enjoyed them all very much.
  11. I havent used Traktor scratch but it looks dope! The interface also doubles as an audio interface so you can also use it as to run cubase or whatever. I run Torq, but only because I only had about $300 to spend. I'm totally happy with it and have no reason to upgrade in the meantime, but all these new products look strong! Numarks new virtual vinyl looks pretty sick and has the ability to mix videos on it as well, i like that concept. I'm just waiting on reviews
  12. Fact of the matter is you can rock a party with an Ipod and a numark Ipod mixer. But its all about what you believe in and what matters to you. Personally I get a certain ambiance when playing with turntables, i find it gratifying. When rocking instrumental sets or something of that nature I'm gonna be scratching a bit and whatnot and I definitely want turntables for the feel of it. I've seen a couple DJs scratch decent with CDJs though, but I have no interest whatsoever to lay my hands down on those things unless I'm mixing deep house to use them for their internal FX and easy looping capabilities. For hiphop and related music though (acid jazz, triphop, downtempo, etc) I'll stick with turntables because it feels right. On a side note - I was talking to MR.Dibbs @ the EL-P show a couple months ago and he uses CDXs for his live performances and has been doing so for the past year or so. And believe it or not he's said the one he was using that night is the 11th one he's gone through because they keep breaking. Luckily a lot of the times he's got it replaced under warranty and now he just rents them, but jesus christ can u believe that??? 11th fucking one!!! what a piece of shit. He said a couple of the times it would just stop working in the middle of their show for no apparent reason. Here's some dibbs entertainment btw... http://www.digitalvertigo.co.uk/forum/inde...showtopic=20355
  13. i use an MBOX with Protools 7.3. no complaints whatsoever. The only reason you'd want to go with a another digidesign product like an 002 or mbox pro is to have more inputs so you can multitrack more instruments at the same time.
  14. Wow really sick! I'm a huge fan of both Exile and DJ Day. This shit is hotter my girls ass! Check the past couple podcasts to hear the full DJ day and Exile tracks.
  15. shiiiieeet i can't wait to get my hands on mario kart!! I used to play mario kart for like 4hrs straight. So addictive! I hope the controls work out alright! I think Manhunt 2 will be sick. Its a Wii exclusive.
  16. Anyone got this? I know its pretty rare. I can't find the full version online all the ones I got get cutoff after CL Smooths verse.
  17. I suggested a Sony because of their nightshot features. U can have more fun with it. But as for that link you posted its hard to say. i think you're best with a mini DV camcorder. That thing looks like more of a toy and its branded DigiLife. Its got a panasonic CCD chip, but that doesn't mean anything. look around for these: Sony DCR-SR62 Sony Handycam DCR-HC96 Panasonic PV-GS320 Panasonic VDR-D210
  18. I've used several consumer level Mini DV cams and to be honest the Panasonic ones always seemed to have the best sound quality with the built-in mic, but most the Sony's have a wicked night-vision feature though that just turns shit all green, but you can see in the dark! For that sole reason I'd buy a Sony. The Panasonic has some shitty light that turns on and tries to brighten up the room, but does a very unimpressive job at succeeding. With that said, go with Sony for the night vision and the sound isn't bad, its just not as good. I'm kinda generalizing here cause I'm not familiar with what models they were, but I tried about 4 different sony's and they all worked identically with touch screen functions and shit. I've also tried some Hitachi and Sharp Mini DV cams and I didn't like them at all.
  19. Once you get this please give a little review on what you think of it. Do you know if you'll be able to crossfade videos with the crossfader on your DJ mixer? I'm wondering how the heck this is possible, but I'm sure it can be done somehow.
