  1. i bpm'd all my records with a shitty beat counter, and all my records are counted like 4 bpm lower then they should be. gets confusing for anyone else trying to use my records
  2. oh and i suppose you were born with it huh? that's the stupidest shit i've ever heard.
  3. dj rectangle battle weapon volume 3 yellow vinyl good record
  4. yeah i've been having the same problem lately, but i know it's not the needles. appreciate that wax on, i'll try the contacts

    How do I mix?

but if you want to learn to beatmatch, take two of the same record and throw the pitch off one, then try to match it back up. its a start

and that book is by frank broughton & bill brewster good shit, i'm tellin you

there's a book called HOW TO DJ RIGHT that has this key-matching table, but i don't know how else to help you out with matching melodies. when i'm mixing hiphop sometimes i know the keys don't match but i still just beatmatch into the next track anyway, fuck with the EQs to clean it up. its a good book though, i bought it long before i really got into this shit and it gave me a good foundation. its all-around and applies to any style of dj
  8. yes, but you have to know the technicality of it and have it real clean if you want the musicality of it to be appreciated. kinda like scratching
  9. i look at juggling as a way to spice up the track, not to say "this is how i the beat should've been done." it's just a way to funk up the track in your own personal style, and i think it's mad overlooked by most scratch DJs because they're too busy scratchin all the time. personally, i enjoy juggling more than scratching . . . bitches
  10. yo i was high as shit looking at that picture!!! that was tight, worked for me
  11. Why wouldn't you want to buy vinyl?? I still think nothing compares to vinyl, but SSL is a bomb tool... I love it cause 1) you don't have to tranport crates of recs and 2) it's about $2,500 cheaper than the crappiest vinyl press. BUT, I'm not too into juggling with it... prefer the real deal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> man i had no problems with juggling w/ serato. i think it makes it easier because it takes less time switch and cue the second record, just click a button and your there, a juggler's dream.
  12. yo i have to say i disagree. X2k, your site was really a starting ground for me and my juggling, and you simplify it as much as possible, i think you did a great job. just thought i'd let you know you helped me out! PEACE
  13. yo this album operates entirely outside of the circle of hiphop as far as i'm concerned, regardless of fat joe, who has been a money-grubbing bitch for quite some time now
  14. wait, what's a b-boy again?
