  1. Don't do that I did and it's shite. The 06 is so hollow you can hear it for miles around when I'm cutting. I really don't like my 06 I have a ttm56 as well so that gets used for the cutting mixer and the 06 is just in my 3 tables setup to mix/occasional cutting. I'm looking for a more solid alternative to put the pro X in.
  2. Bit off topic here steve sorry but I have a audition training dvd if you want a copy pm and I'll sort it out for you. I know you know audition pretty well but its descent and worth a look if you hav'nt got it already.
  3. Standard of literacy = poor to piss poor that'll be me! but hey I can draw nice pictures that move. Are these available now or when are they available.
  4. HA HA sorry giz I meant scratchworx :$ £699 is steep though.
  5. you got one Ed, if not lamont should be able to tell us, he use's one. Scratchworkz review looked good I want one and a bag too.
  6. Very true mate. I quite like the mixer, but because the faders are a bit battered I thought I'd just get a new one. A Pro X from America will only cost me about £60 so I think I'll give it a try. If I don't like it I can always sell it and get my money back. To be honest steve I love the pro X its a really nice fader. just a shame I put it in a shitty hollow sounding case. In a chunky well built mixer that fader will be the nuts.
  7. I bought a proX for my 06 a week later I saw a TTM56 going cheap so I bought it. Even though I have 3 tables and both mixers are hooked up Cutting with the proX is nowhere near as nice due to the 06 just sounding hollow, it feels cheap and nasty in comparison. Only buy the fader if you like the mixer steve You can't shine shit mate.

    MPC Set up

I'd get the firwire one if any mate, USB has real issues with latency even with the best drivers available. It would be worth the extra outlay in the longrun.

yeah real nice. I like the style and execution dope.
  10. Kind of in the order I played them out. bottom to top. right to left the top two rows are what I play now.
  11. sounds good to me, I like it. I agree about the drums being a little muddy. Real nice though, Dope.
  12. Ha Ha and I sold mine for 650 big ones 5 years agobecause people nerded out over the fact it created one shitty sound. werd! I'm with dextrous maybe I should start another thread about it. Back to the controller one then.
  13. lol. I think it's a little too late for that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> your probably right steve. bit sad that really though.
  14. That's cool an all that, push the envelope. As long as it does'nt become elitist, for example Fine Art is treat with contempt by most of the general public because of it's progress into what it is today. Most people can't relate to it, I suppose it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the idea of the turntable as an instrument.
  15. I'm not sure I get this turntable as an instrument thing. Is'nt it about cutting up records, digging, making people want to party. Is'nt it losing sight of what it is, you can blow into a milk bottle and it makes a sound but I would'nt call it an instrument. Whatever floats your boat. I just like the original idea of scratching cause you like the sound of scratching. Or cutting two records together because it sounds funky. Primitive maybe but that's the history of it I just think it's trying to make it something it's just not. I will probably be grilled alive for this.
  16. Don't believe the hype they said this would change the face of music forever. not sure which one sounds better maybe I'm being cynical.
  17. It is nice and clean now, took a while to get like that though. Vinyl is real heavy so won't be moving that again in a while. You know what they say though clean room = dirty mind LOL
  18. Sounded nice to me Rusty, I liked it I can see what your saying about the tones but I like them still. Dope.
  19. Nice blend/mix don't know the original tracks but worked well for me. dope
  20. You could maybe have a noob section where it's clear that the people posting have not been cutting for a long time and the files can be listened too with that preconception. just a thought.
  21. DLing now thanks again
  22. I have the total training dvd's if your interested craig. They are pretty good and give a fairly in depth look at audition and all its features. Your going on holiday are'nt you? maybe when you get back I could sort some thing out.
  23. Top tune. Check out the first two Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince albums. They're a bit cheesy by today's standards, but the cuts were excellent at the time. Also get "Where's The Party At?" by Cash Money & Marvelous. Install Soulseek, eMule Plus and a good BitTorrent client such as µTorrent and you should be able to track down plenty of old tunes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> cheers fellas, I hav'nt had much luck on emule over the last few months may try a bit torrent thing. I could'nt even get The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff without having to wait days, gave up in the end. that would be great, really appreciate it. Keep im coming cheers again
