This site allows you to upload a file up to 15MB in size and then it will scan it using 14 different antivirus databases. The databases include those used by Kaspersky, AVG, AntiVir, NOD32, F-Prot and more. If you want to check a file before running it I don't think you'll find a much more comprehensive scan than this one.
