Steve Posted August 20, 2005 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Give it a tap with a large rubber mallet. Seriously though, try running chkdsk /f /r from safe mode with command prompt. Ben Posted August 20, 2005 Author Share Posted August 20, 2005 As soon as i'd posted this i went off and found check disk and ran it. Took about 2 and a half hours but it found the corrupt file that was fucking the index and removed it. Must've been this 1 corrupt file because it began with J and thats where everything vanished.
