It doesn't happen so often anymore, but when I was running Windows 98, sometimes I would boot up and the icons would just be in rows going down the screen rather than where I put them. With this program you just right click any system icon (Recycle Bin, My Computer etc.) and choose Save Desktop Icon Layout and then if things fuck up and the layout is lost, right click and choose Restore Desktop Icon Layout.
