Audeze make some really high end headphones for the hi-fi market, and I tend to trust companies like that to make a decent gaming headset over the gaming headset companies like Astro and Turtle Beach, whose products have never impressed me all that much. They use planar magnetic drivers. You can sync them to a console and a Bluetooth device at the same time. The have all of the on-board controls you're likely to need, but you can also control and customise them via a PC or phone app which lets you change the EQs, save presets, and control various settings. The price is $300/£300, but the first few hundred people that pre-order will get them for $250/£250.
