danswift
I bought Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac 'Greatest Hits' album when I was 14 years old and that record of their early music was such an enormous influence on me. Was really sad to hear of Peter Green's death today. He was one monumentally talented guitarist but his life wasnt exactly straightforward,he had very well documented mental health troubles, was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent time in hospitals undergoing electro-convulsive therapy during the mid-70s. Hope he's sleeping easy now. RIP.

Woah, didn't know about that therapy, sounds rough. RIP Also, ALBATROSS.
savwar
I had actually just been reading recently about Peter's old Gold Top Les Paul which he gave to Gary Moore, and Gary it sold when in financial trouble later on. Kirk Hammet from Metallica owns it now. Kirk isn't the best player in the world, but at least it's just not sitting in some billionaire hoarders gaff. https://www.guitarworld.com/gear/kirk-hammett-talks-about-his-prize-peter-green-and-gary-moores-les-paul-see-it-action

Deft
Obvs I am more of a later Fleetwood Mac POP BANGERZ kind of person, but I was listening to the earlier stuff after hearing this and I enjoyed it. I always feel guilty that I only bother listening to certain artists after their death, just like every other sheep.
