Bright, using the handle "randomanon," had responded to a message the agent posted a day prior in which she purported to be a mother seeking to connect with people who could teach her children about "birds and the bees." The complaint states that in subsequent messages, the agent informed Bright that she had a 7-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son. At Bright's urging, the two then began chatting via WhatsApp, which continued for a few weeks. At times using euphemisms, Bright reportedly wrote of molesting both children and raping the 7-year-old. He also allegedly sent pictures of his penis, and photos of test results showing he did not have any sexually transmitted diseases. According to the complaint, both consistently referred to his plans to molest the children as "teaching" them "lessons," and Bright described how he would begin slowly and move on to more intense sexual activity. Some of his posts: - Demonising those who download it is an unjustifiable waste of resources. Either explain how child porn is immoral or unethical or piss off. Of the countless thousands of pictures I've downloaded from usenet with titles suggesting that a 15 year-old has a starring role, I don't think I've ever come across one with a genuine 15 year-old. He and his legal team filed a motion to suppress, which means they were trying to suppress certain evidence from being admissible during his trial. The hearing was last week and the judge denied the motion, which is seriously bad news for him. He remains in custody until his trial on February 10th next year. I don't know what the cause of the mistrial was, but he's been sent back to jail and will face a new trial if he doesn't take a plea bargain in the meantime. The guy's defence was a fucking joke. He claimed that he sometimes pretends to be a paedo as part of an "age-play" kink, but isn't actually a paedo for real. He argued that when he went to meet up with the mother of the 2 kids (the undercover officer), he was doing so because he wanted to gather evidence about her so he could report her to the police, even though he bought a packet of condoms and took them with him to the meeting. The prosecution obtained his email records from Google, and it turned out that he'd been emailing other underage girls, including sending one a dick pic, and one sending him a nude. He claims that the dick pic was sent by mistake and that he deleted the nude straight away. The jury could not reach a decision, then this afternoon, something happened that led to the mistrial. Steve Posted November 4, 2020 Author Share Posted November 4, 2020 This piece of shit was sentenced today. He got 12 years in prison, followed by 7 years supervised release. He'll also be placed on the sex offenders register and must agree to monitoring software being installed on his devices. In court he was still insistent that he's not a paedo. He's gonna have a rough time in prison. While he was awaiting sentencing, he had to be moved several times due to other inmates finding out what he was inside for.
