What browser extensions do you recommend?

I haven't tried this yet, but it looks good: -

It's from the author of the excellent SponsorBlock (mentioned above). It replaces clickbait YouTube video titles and thumbnails, so for example, a video titled "I bought ten of the weirdest phones ever!!!" might be renamed to "Reviewing old phones with alternative form factors", so rather than having to click on the video and play it to see what it's about, you can see it from the title.

The main downside to it is that he's charging $1 for it, rather than making it free, but if it's shit, you're only out a buck.

Here's another one that I've been using: -

When you use the "Share" option on YouTube now, it adds an extra bit of code on the end of the link: -

This allows YouTube to track who shared a particular video.

You don't actually need the "?si=xxxxxxxx" part of the link in order to share videos, so you can manually remove it if you like, but the TubeTweaks extension does it for you, so share links are how they used to be, without the user tracking element.
