Jon Posted July 7, 2018 Share Posted July 7, 2018 R10 and Jon1st warmly invite you to ‘Itching to Scratch!’, a day of free turntablism workshops and open deck jams for beginner and advanced scratch DJs of all ages, held at R10 studios in Leicester city centre! The day will be split as follows: Beginners: 11:00 - 13:00 There will be 2 hours of drop in workshops catered to beginners! If you’ve ever wanted to learn what scratching is and how it works or have never had the chance to give it a go, this is for you! The session will be split between mini classes and lots of opportunities to have a go yourself and ask questions! Intermediate Workshop 14:00 - 14:30 World DMC Champion Jon1st will be teaching a workshop on constructing turntablist routines: how to translate your scratches into performable tracks. Beginners are welcome to attend but the workshop will be taught from the perspective of DJs with a few years worth of prior experience. Jam! 14:30 - 16:30 An open deck jam for turntablists with intermediate and advanced experience. Feel free to bring your equipment/records of choice! If any DJs with experience would like to help out with the beginners' session too, please feel to get in touch, we'd love to have your support! We hope to see you there!Anyone fancy this?
