TBearOne8III Posted April 6, 2019 Share Posted April 6, 2019 Not the best pic. Nothing appears to be fried. Surface mount components can be tricky. There is a possibility of hairline cracks on the caps or diodes. Im not sure if its the pic or the screen on the board but it looks like a solder ball on c91 that could possibly be causing a short. Also, that middle wire above d8 could be reflowed. Honestly, the whole board could use a reflow. But theres not much craftsmanship in production electronics so suspect solder work is to be expected. If you reflow the solder joints and half of the component comes off, then you found your fracture. Other than that, you would have to check the resistance of everything to find any shorts or opens.
