2ndhand
is there a way of reading from a cd drive, and getting the music files onto your pc?
Steve
Why is this in the knowledge base dufus? Check here......... http://www.fsbeats.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=64 If you have any problems with EAC (you shouldn't) then you can do what I do and use Nero. Start it up and cancel the wizard. Then go to Extras then Save Tracks. Save as .wav and then use a version of LAME to encode the files to mp3 (or whatever). Personally I like winLAME cos it can batch convert and do gapless. It also does .ogg files which are better quality than mp3. Get it here............. http://winlame.sourceforge.net/

Steve
Yeah. Nero basically does the same thing, but EAC was designed for the job. It has jitter correction and all sorts of things to try and ensure you get the best rip. I couldn't get EAC to work but I know there's a problem with ATAPI on my machine and I think it's related to that.
