Steve
No worries mate. Only admins can do embeds like that at the moment because it involves using HTML.

Guest It'sPhilFromThursdays
Nice. V.good. My main feedback is that you should give me your mixer, you're gonna win another on this year anyway. On a serious note, i do find all your cuts to be quite constantly aggressive, but then again when i cut on the right so are mine, so i'm a hypocrite and you shouldn't listen to me.
DJ Rock Well
Love the cuts. You've got your own style and you always execute cleanly. I'm a little more ambivalent about the camera work... I've watched much worse, but I'd just had my tea when I watched this last night and it did have me scouring Amazon for a nice tripod I could buy you for your birthday. Point taken I think when I do battle videos or videos where I want to get straight to the point my cuts are pretty aggressive, I need to work more pauses in when I do these sort of videos Thanks for the advice man Love the cuts. It was my first time recording with my go pro on a headmount. Normally I headnod in time with the beat but had to restrain myself from doing that - it could have been a lot more shakey! I'll look into investing in a stand mount for it soon!
Guest It'sPhilFromThursdays
Fair point, for battling and short vids your cuts are perfect, really intimidating and like Rocky says you defo do have a recognisable style of your own. I find when i'm cutting on the right i am more aggressive cos i'm not afraid of accidently ploughing into the tone arm and cos of the angle your arm is scratching at, it seems a lot easier to put a lot of energy into it. DJ Rock Well
To be fair, that was probably the most digestible head mount scratch vid I've seen and I am quite touchy about silly things. Plus, if you've just got a new gopro with head strap and nothing else, what else are you gonna do? But yeah, turntablism isn't an activity I ever really feel is enhanced by a bird's eye view. Further to what you and Phil are saying above, your cuts are quite battle or showcase orientated. As much as I wouldn't want you to change what you are already doing (cos it's great), I agree that maybe a few more gaps or maybe some lower pitched drags and slurs would further enhance the impact of your well honed power moves... for a freestyle scratch vid at least. Jon
Basically, us two chumps are hard dissing one of the best competition dj's around at the moment. Aww. I'd rather people tore my stuff apart with constructive criticism then just said everything was good! Winning a battle doesn't make me a good freestyle cutter Cheers for the pointers guys
DJ Rock Well
Phil - take that back, you scoundrel! I'm still a Jon 1st groupie to the core... who isn't after he won hearts and minds in 2013? I was just pushing against general online apathy where everyone just pats each other on the back with a one word response of a "like", rather than suggesting a way to make it better. Which is admittedly pretty hard if you're as good as Jon.
Guest It'sPhilFromThursdays
I was only joking, really, it just struck me as funny. I heart constructive criticism to max, dudes, extreme edition, and my initial points stand to the max, too, totally, radicle dudes. People entering a criticism free circle jerk does no one any favours unless you're doing some gay porn, etc. [Also i'll edit my last post to make it more Rockwell/Phil friendly]

Sir Dongbot
Yeah liked it and obv it was super clean.... I would work on pauses, record manipulation, drags and stabs ( I know that sounds real basic) but these are things which I think are most sick about D and help him create flow.... for example at 0.29 your going through the motions a bit and filling if that makes sense Would be really interested in seeing a slow beat with more funk style killing it tho mate obv.....
