doppelkorn
Run DMC - My Adidas Now I'm just standing here shooting the gift(?)Me, D and my Adidas standing on two-fifth. WHAT? "Gift"? Big Daddy Kane - Smooth Operator For years I thought it was "You're just a butt in life, I'm a machete."
Steve
One that made me laugh was a YouTube comment on a Davy DMX tune: - Daisy day, all the best, pop this beat Run DMX The guy said it was one of his favourite tracks. All those years he thought it said that, haha. For a while I thought the line in Sucker MCs said "and now they got me rockin' on the hyperphone". I never even considered that he was saying "microphone", lol. Grae used to think that the "hard working" sample at the start of Nobody Beats The Biz said "half monkey".

doppelkorn
Run DMC have some gibberish don't they? In verse 2 of You Be Illin' there's this little bit, which I make out as: One day you won a ticket to see Dr. J.Front row seat (IT'S FREE!) no pay.Radio in hand, snacks by feet.Game's about to start and you get popcorn (TO THE BEAT!). If that's the correct lyrics it's bobbins.

Vet
Well, 'shooting the gift' is just another way of saying shooting the 'gift of gab' which of course is just...rappin! As for BDK its 'butter knife'...hence the machete lyric.Run DMC - My Adidas Now I'm just standing here shooting the gift(?)Me, D and my Adidas standing on two-fifth. WHAT? "Gift"? Mike-L
I think the "you be illin" lyric says "kicking popcorn to the beat", perhaps because the snacks are near their feet.
R Funksmith
can't remember what Heiroglyphics track, but Del says "I'm hellah stern but my face is calm" I thought he said "hellah sperm" forever. My girlfriend corrected me.

My friend thought it said "I'll take your brain to another dimension... hey close the kitchen". I also thought another track said "The Voodoo who do what you downstairs do people". It's a thing.
