Steve
I've been downloading some music recently that's been in .m4a format. The files play OK and sound fine, but I was wondering how they compare to mp3. Are they equivalent, quality wise?
Guest Deeswift
This is not a format I'm familiar with yet. I reckon you'll find all the info you could possibly want at http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?act=idx or click http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showforum=44 to get direct to the mp4 discussion section. EDIT: As a guess, I would imagine that mp4 is slightly better quality, like 128k mp4 / m4a is similar to 160kbps mp3 or something... I will go read up on it though.
