Guest petesasqwax
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20750625/oddscratchpattern.mp3 the sound quality is shite and it's only 10s long. i recorded it this morning on a very improvised setup, hence the shittiness. basically, it's a circular scratch pattern that i happened upon whilst doing open fader cuts starting on the backwards movement. there's 2 backwards reps and 2 forward ones in each cycle, but it works fine and gives a different sound if you do 1 of each instead too."yeahyeah, Pete, this is just a wofghwefnsdf scratch. we've been doing that for tiiiiiime, son"
Guest petesasqwax
10 seconds, people. 10 seconds. that's all I'm asking for. 10.
DJ Rock Well
If there's no takers, it's yours. It's now called the "Sascratch". Same shit happened with Flare... let's hope things end a little sunnier for the creator of the Sascratch than they did for him.
Guest petesasqwax
WIN!Just one question: are you THE DJ Rockwell? you know, the one from the US?
DJ Rock Well
You won't be Flare until you've asked me that at least 3 times. BTW I've got a patent out two originals myself right now - I got "crab-saws" (sometimes mis-labelled "crab sores") and "sc'abs" (again, most people forget the apostrophe and just call them "scabs"). We're not alone either, Paul has now nailed "Dutch Flaps".
Guest petesasqwax
Clearly I need to learn crab-saws, sc'abs and dutch flaps, pronto!
