mattnice
Friends of mine went to the classic Wu Tang In Ilford Gig back in the 90's. True Mathematics & Cappadonna turned up, i think there was a near riot.

DJ Rock Well
I went to the one at Brixton about threeish years ago... Dirty was dead and Meth was too famous to attend. That said the rest of them killed it and Rza, Rae and Ghostface in particular were all on murderous form. The atmosphere as the capacity crowd all bounced up and down rapped along with classics was immense. As we walked down to the Academy, me and my mate were saying how strange it was gonna be going to the venue for the first time since the smoking ban 'cos all either of us could remember from past gigs there was lots of people smoking weed... As it turns out, it was business as usual. About 50-60% of the audience were smoking weed as blatantly as you would in a Dutch coffee shop! Seriously, it was fucking surreal - I took nothing with me but was passed many many joints by complete strangers and walked out battered, everywhere you looked across the crowd there were clouds of ganja smoke. The security guards just looked on... I guess their options were suck it up or throw out the whole crowd and cancel the gig. Needless to say, the Wu were fully partaking too. Frost
A friend of mine went to a Wu gig a few years ago after the smoking ban, he lit a cig as soon as he was in the main crowd. Straight away he felt a hand on his shoulder, got escorted out and spent the next three hours sat outside waiting for his friends to leave. HARSH! To be fair, he's the same friend who drank out of a dunk pond when we was drunk because he was thirsty and spent the next week in hospital. He also fell asleep in a nightclub toilet and got woken up by the cleaners at dinnertime the next day. loool
