Steve
I hate the new Spybot. I can run it 3 times and get 3 different lots of results. Sometimes it says there are files that can't be removed and I have to reboot but they are only cookies. Anyway, the DSO Exploit is an old Microsoft security hole. If your Windows Updates and patches are all up to date then it's probably a false positive on Spybot's part. If you go here, you can download a small app that makes the necessary registry adjustments to fix the DSO problem......... http://www.nsclean.com/dsostop.html

Guest Deeswift
That entry comes up every time I scan too. Ignore it. I hate the new Spybot too. The previous version (1.2) was much better but they stopped producing updates for it. Bah.
Steve
Try that app Dee. It's only 44K. Despite being patched for the exploit, the app says I was still vulnerable so I used it to fix the problem. Things are OK now.
Guest Deeswift
Just got it. Looks like a Steve Gibson app, socketlock, etc. My machine was vunerable, btw. Cheers.
