Frost
I'm getting married towards the end of August 2012 and am getting a friend to do the DJing for the night. Does anyone know if he MUST have Public Liability Insurance for that one night? It will be held in a function room at a hotel, pretty standard. I'm going to get all my DJ equipment PAT tested on the cheap so that parts not an issue. The hotel have said the onus is on the DJ to sort it all out as they don't have anything to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always!

x2k
I don't know for sure but since a wedding is a private party I would say it's not needed, I'd have though PAT testing was ott too tbh. Congrats tho!
Wax On
I know a mate of mine's wedding venue demanded Public Liability Insurance. But then I've done a few weddings without insurance or even testing mind you I am a total badass
Frost
the hotel want it for insurance purposes, they're probably only wanting it since the missus effing mentioned it anyway! i think i'm getting the PAT testing done through a friend so should only cost me a few beers, i've had a look at PL insurance and it looks like it's only £60 for a years worth. just wanna get the wedding out the way now, bigger fish to fry etc.
