Wax On
I had some software called folder sizes or something for a bit at my old work, which just told you the size of the different folders on the computer funnily enough. It was only a trial with about 3 uses before locking or something. Just wondered if anyone knows of anything similar which is free? Steve
cool.i've always wondered why this kinda thing isn't a feature in windows... It's because of the extra work it forces the hard drive to do. If you right-click on a folder in Windows (one that contains many GB of data), you'll hear the hard drive start to churn away as Windows has to check the full contents of the folder and all sub-folders to calculate the size, which it then displays on the general tab. If it was doing that by default in Windows Explorer, it would slow the computer down and increase wear and tear on the drive. They could make it an option for people who don't care about the negatives though.
