I'm thinking of doing a mix (ha!) of kind of conscious gangsta tunes form the 90s but also modern stuff, the problem is I can only think of a few. The sort fo thing I'm taking about is like the negative side of it so stuff like Scarface, Geto Boys where they talk about "oh shit I like such a dangerous life I wish i could get out" kind of stuff. Also production wise I'm thinking heavy with kind of dark, foreboding synths and bells...they always have like church bells in.
