Steve
Most hosting sites have a maximum limit on file size. Sometimes you might want to upload a file that's bigger than the max size, so here's an easy way to do it: - 1. I'm using WinRAR for this, but other programs like it should have a similar feature. Right click on the large file you want to upload and choose "Add to archive...". 2. On the General tab, give the archive a name, set the type to RAR, and set the compression to "Best". In the "Split to volume, bytes" section is a drop-down list. You can select pre-set sizes here, such as "Zip100: 98078 kb" which will split the file into 100MB (or thereabouts) chunks. You can also type your own file size into the "Split to volume, bytes" box, so typing in "200 mb" for example, will split the file into 200MB chunks. 3. Once you've entered in the chunk size, hit OK and WinRAR will begin compressing the file. When it's complete, your large file will be compressed and split into chunks ready to upload. 4. All the downloader has to do is download all of the chunks, then right click on any of the files and choose "Extract Here". The full file will be extracted intact from the split archive chunks. Job done!
