Jon
Do any of you practice cutting in signatures other than 4/4? I know other signatures are not often found in hiphop but I think it's worth messing about with from time to time. I've been trying 6/4 and 3/4 for a giggle and am slowly getting it by practicing emulating the melody of 'In Limbo' by Radiohead (that's in 6 bar phrases of 3/4) with an aaah sample. Giraffe Dung
5/7's daft. i made a few tracks in 5/7 at one point, it sounds weird as hell. i stick to 4/4 and 3/4, and maybe once in a blue moon i'll do 5/8. does anyone have the file threequarters.mp3 that i did a year or two ago by any chance? i've forgotten my server password since my mate changed it, doh, and i'd quite like to hear it again... maybe jon? Phology
it does but rarely usedas far as rhythm goes, there is no such thing as a "7th" note (at least not in the western world) we have 4,8,16,etc....
