iexist Posted June 12, 2007 Share Posted June 12, 2007 anyone suggest any places to promote my mix via the internet? ive gone through about 90% of my myspace friends..a few forums...a blog...cross promoting with a friends band.. releasing my cd the same time as theirs.. i dont really know where else..ive peeped mixupload.com... i didnt realize it required $$$.. any suggestions would be key.im a bit new with self-promoting... Drop them an e-mail with the link to your mix along with a brief explanation of what it is as well as any other spot they can check you out at (MySpace, Virb, etc).. just share it with them and they might end up posting it. Out of about 30 blogs I hit up I got maybe 12 posts, as well as posts on other blogs that just snagged their links and wrote some new shit.. FreeiPod Posted June 12, 2007 Share Posted June 12, 2007 Upload it to all the torrent sites and seed it as much as you can for as long as it takes , people will download it , about 6 months ago i uploaded a zip file of 4 of my tracks and to date have had 513 downloads so it works just be patient with it and they will come.
